Hello Melanie, So glad that you said what you did. I did not see this message when I wrote the first one. We are so happy that you are giving your life to Christ. This is your journey and your walk. I would say that you should have your own Bible always at hand so you can develop your relationship with the Father and the Son. Remember we are here for you. Stay in the word and trust in the Lord. God says, "there is nothing new under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 1:9) and he means that. Hard to believe after all these years, life is still the same, but it is true. The answers are in the Bible. So, when issues come up-pray and pray. God answers all prayers. Just give HIM the time to get to you. Find people who are looking for a relationship with God and the Son. Support is always a plus. We are here. 24/7. One step at a time, You can walk the path. I would like to say a prayer for you. Dear God, I come before you for your daughter, Melanie. She is giving her life to YOU. Please God, guide Melanie on the path of righteousness. Keep all evil from here. Open the flood gates of wisdom and understanding. Draw Melanie close to you. I was ready to quit one week ago. Fully quit. The final goodbye. The pain of not being enough for others overwhelmed me. God put me in my place during that moment. The place of who and what I am to Him. He didn't chastise me, He didn't punish me. He held me close and told me who I am. This sermon hit me like a ton of bricks. Tears in my eyes, I've wanted to quit. God is the God of second chances. A new life. A new purpose. A new way of being. My second chance is living for His purpose, and His glory, each and every day. Though I may stumble, he is there with me. Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.

Before my TBI, I persevered always! Now, my children are trying to diagnose me. My youngest is the one who has been treating me the worst. I have PTSD. He has tried to say that I am a manipulater and narcissist. I hurt so bad. Things my children say, I said something. I don't remember. Please pray for my son, Trevor, and me/ my family. I am searching for a psychiatrist and therapist who specializes in trauma and PTSD.

Hello Melanie, We are happy that you are here today. You have a great question. We have to remember that we are looking back at the situation. That was a crazy time when Jesus walked the earth. It is easy for us to say we would never deny Jesus, because we know the how wonderful the Savior is. But if we have compassion in our hearts to look at those people back then, we can see the fear that those who loved Jesus must have felt. The Jews and Romans were at odds and idea of a physical resurrection must have sounded wild to them. Peter was afraid. That is the truth. Sometimes we as people are afraid to stand up to for Christ. But we should always know that God will never leave our side. God will always see us through. But we know that Peter learned, never denied Christ again and later died for him. I believe as someone who studied Theology, that the apostles, each one is has the human attributes similar to what we have. I am sure that you, yourself has seen that in reading about them. God picked Peter knowing what he was about. He used Peter to teach us also about the compassion God has for us, he forgave Peter as he forgives us. There is so much to learn, and it is all very exciting. But most of all, we learn how much God loves every one of us. He loves YOU, Melanie. Thank you for asking this question.
