What makes you angry? The answer is different for everyone. And if we’re honest, it’s probably not just one thing-a lot of things make us angry. There were things that made Jesus angry too. What did He do when He felt angry? Is it possible to learn how to control your anger? We’re talking about it in this message.

I discovered that I used to get angry when triggered. I took faith based anxiety and trauma courses that helped me recognize the root causes and overcome it. I also learned on my own that if I stay focused on God & get saved every week at church or home (ask God to come into my heart and guide me) that the Holy Spirit keeps me accountable. Consistency with God’s word (read the Bible) & the Holy Spirit is the key that unlocks the unconditional Love that breaks all sinful cycles.

I find that I get angry with myself a lot. When I want to get somewhere and need to change something in my life and if it doesn’t work out, then I get angry, I tell myself that I’m a failure because I allowed it to happen, then when I try harder, I still fall shorter. I get so in a rush to want to be in a place where I’m comfortable, doing the things that I want to do that can put my life in a positive direction. But when I can’t even start, that’s when I get angry. I get angry when I have to wait for so long before things can start to change and shift directions. There are so much I want to accomplish and I feel like I can’t get nothing done when I have to wait. So I pray that whatever God has in store for me, I will wait. I will wait on his timing and his timing only. Because even tho my dream is the biggest dream of my life, I have to wait on him and he will tell me when I’m ready. If I’m not ready, then there is still something God is still working within me. I pray to find peace in the wait and find calm in my anger, in Jesus name I pray, amen 🙏

This is a good message but most people in my circle don’t listen I have had to do much forgiveness towards the movement I grew up in and I have become disillusioned and maybe fear that I have already caused some bitterness. Really I’ve actually just been trying to start a conversation to bring healing and situations to the light.

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up in prayer, @CandiceGuo72; Thank you for this day. Lord, we come before you and ask you to help us uproot any lies, bitterness, resentment,unhealthy guilt, unforgiveness, anger or anything else that we are holding on to, that is not of you…help us to be rid of the lies that tell us that things are hopeless…that things can never change…that we are alone…that we cannot overcome… that we are too weak…that we are unworthy or unwanted …that we can never be made whole… Lord, you know the secret dark things…the painful things and the bruised and broken areas of our hearts and minds…we need to uproot and remove the bad and plant your seeds of truth… we need your wisdom to overcome all the weeds that we have allowed to grow so large that they have choked out and overtaken the good…we want to reap a bountiful, spiritual harvest … help us to overcome by planting your Word deep in our hearts…help us to purge thoughts of guilt, condemnation, self-doubt and self-loathing…help instill in us your life-giving truth and may we in-turn start speaking those things over ourselves and others. Please help us not to hold onto negative thoughts…help us to take our thoughts captive…help us to dwell on things that build up and uplift…help us to live out what we say we believe…may your Living Water fill the dry, cracked, parched places and bring new life to those parts of ourselves that we have allowed to be destroyed by grief, pain, sin, failures, disappointments, negativity and the hurtful words and deeds of others. Father, lead us to still waters and restore our souls and help our roots to be planted deep in you and your Word… Lord, please heal us in body, mind and spirit…your Word is alive and sharper than any sword…help us to use your Word to battle the things that come against us…time is so short and we want to be free from these snares of the enemy…we want to leave behind the things that we can’t change and the things that have dogged us and haunted us for far too long…help us to believe your truth…help us to claim your strength and peace and make it our own…help us to embrace our heritage as your children and let go of the past so we can embrace all that you have waiting for us… Father, you know where each of us are. You know each of our needs. You know us by name. We are yours and we ask for you to work mightily in our lives. May hope rise…may beauty rise from ashes…may we feel our inner warrior rise up so we feel empowered. We are here, so you are not done working in us yet…please do a new thing in us, Lord. We bow before you and surrender all that we are and pray for your power and Holy Spirit to help us to be the people you’ve called us to be. In Jesus’ name we ask these things. Amen.
