Pineapple upside down cake has been popular in the US for years‼️ We typically add maraschino cherries to the open rings and baked the topping in the pan with the batter and invert while warm. Pecan halves also make a nice add on in the open spaces with the fruit. Thank you I’ll try your recipe to compare as I’ve never used yogurt in mine.🌎🇺🇸💗

Minnesota. Pineapple upside-down cake looks very charming. Reminds me of a very simple pear ginger cake I make from a William Simona recipe book I have. It makes the entire house smell like ginger. Was my favorite cake to make as a kid with my mom. You missing the maraschino cherries 🍒 though Next time don't add water to the sugar mixture, instead use some of the pineapple syrup the pineapple comes in........you'll love the result
