As a soldier, i found a number of leopard geckos in Afghanistan. They are not very attractive as wild specimens.

I still can't believe you found one! I get the feeling most people watching this don't really get how unbelievable it was for you to actually find one of these with just 2 days to look. I mean if bookies were putting odds on the chances you would actually find one it's gotta be atleast a hundred thousand to one. Probably even more than that. Finding the terror skink has got to be your most significant event of your entire herping career.your entire life even. 🤔 Hmmmm! Ancient new Caledonian Legend has it, that they are found by the hundreds, in the bottom of 40 foot sinkholes, that are found along the side of Main trails! 😉👍 Nice find, congrats!

Very very cool. I would have to say these guys and the Borneo earless monitor have to be the two coolest rarest lizards to me. And somewhat similar too pretty cool. But other then those I would have to say the tri color or rainbow monitor might be the numero uno rarest coolest find in the wild for me if I could pick. Close behind being the Borneo earless then maybe a chahoua and then the beautiful blue green black or yellow tree monitors.
