I spent 16 yrs in addiction , lost 3 friends in front of my eyes , my parents were at eachother throats and my dad cut him self on his belly arguing with my mom , she said he didn't have the balls to actually do it well he did it and I was younger sitting right there man I seen his guts n it shocked me . I stole , lied , ruined my personal family and my family , they sent me 5 hrs north to my mom when I got real bad I met my faithfully wife and her parents and we decided to make a family and we did I've been clean for 10 yrs plus , I'm back in my familys life and 10 yrs in a relationship engaged making 49,0000 a yr and living as a child of God and raising my boys to do the same .

I’m glad someone else understands. People I’ve come across, Christians btw, saying the 10 Commandments were done away with by Christ. But I keep having to explain he did not do away with them. He just condensed them in his two commandments. C. 1-4 is his first commandment. C. 5-10 in his second commandment. And that we follow them no longer as law keeping, but naturally living them through Christ.

Murder vs killing. I find it interesting how many pastors avoid referencing scripture or Old Testament. Exodus 22:2 clarifies what he is saying. But to reference God’s Laws would mean that we should obey them. Not just the 10. If only the 10 were to be followed then beastility is ok. Jesus Christ himself said that if we love him that we would follow his commandments. Not just the 10

Rentance "of sin" is not Biblical. Even God repented, and He doesn't sin. Repentance is not a synonym of confess sin or stop sinning. Repentance is a change of mind. Repenting (changing your mind) causes you to turn away from sin by faith. Don't buy the modern lie that the false teachers are pumping. In order to be saved, you need to first accept that you're a sinner and there's nothing you can do to please God. The only one that could please God was Jesus Christ. Not matter how much you "turn away" from sin; whatever that means. You will never please God. And you will never reach salvation by your "good deeds." You reach salvation by putting your faith on Jesus Christ. That's the Gospel. As simple as that. Well, obviously, it is not that simple because 95% of christians today believe in themselves, believe that salvation has something to do with them, and that self-righteous attitude is what will send people to hell.

I am perfect in Christ. WE are not sinners if we are born of God. We are saints according to all New Testament writers. I agree we are still not perfect in this life but we will be glorified, but by the Spirit we put to death the deeds of the flesh but we are not of the flesh. WE are of the Spirit. Salvation is justification, sanctification and glorification. Salvation is deliverance from the power of sin. It’s not about going to heaven but heaven coming into you and the Holy Spirit joining with your spirit.
