Tonki is definitely a legendary restaurant for Tonkatsu in Tokyo. There a lot of different reviews...either really good or really bad so I really needed to see for myself...well, eat it and see for myself. Haha I hope you guys like the video!

TONKI!!! Such a Legendary spot. I also went recently, but I will say I think it was better before. Still worth going though!!

Don’t get me wrong…I like bacon and prosciutto but I’m not a big fan of pork in general ! I feel tonkatsu is the perfect recipe to enjoy high quality 🐷 meat 😊 ❤️ 🇯🇵 Cheers from San Diego California 🇺🇸

Same here! I’m not the biggest fan of pork! There was a time in my life when I stopped eating pork and beef completely so when I started eating them again the taste was strange to me. I was pleasantly surprised with this tonkatsu! I totally understand you! ☺️ I feel like bacon is not pork hahahahaha Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼

Well Hana, that looked DELICIOUS!😂 It looked so good and the experience of being able to watch the chefs prepare too - great. I've only ever had it at home which I made myself with ingredients from a Japanese food supplier. Thanks for the upload and I'm already looking forward to your next culinary experience.

Amazing how you can prepare your own tonkatsu! I’ve honestly never tried cooking it at home! I loved the experience of being able to watch the chefs in action! They made everything well! 🤩

@@whatchuHANAdo I bought some tonkatsu seasoned flour, panko breadcrumbs and some tonkatsu sauce. Put them all together, in the right order, and hey presto! Very tasty but not something that I have done very often as I do not have a dedicated deep fat fryer (I don't do much deep fat frying at home). One of the things that I like about the internet is that I can try foods from around the world even if I can't visit there.

Looks as a delicious comfort meal! Occasionally Tonkatsu can feel a little heavy in the stomach afterwards if it is oily, how was this one? Btw, Great B rolls of the restaurant and food ❤

It really was more of a comfort meal than a gourmet meal! ☺️ it tasted more nostalgic if that makes any sense? Haha This one wasn’t too oily! Just right. ❤️ I am personally not the biggest fan of pork in general but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this one! I guess it’s also in the quality of the meat. :) thank you so much for noticing the B roll! I wanted to take more but was too shy to! So many people waiting for a seat!

@@whatchuHANAdo I love both! I get katsu and onigiri from a store called Tokyo Central. It's the closest thing we have here to a real Japanese convenience store. I spend way too much money there on Japanese food and drinks.
