Thing is, Talon has to be standing on the wave to last hit at some point. They simply can't rely on their spells, they need to use some basic attacks to do so. You'll get punished at some point. Ziggs is a very oppressive lane bully for that aspect. Unless you can secure every last hit through spells with minimal range, you will be hitting free poke from a very low mmr ziggs (like it's not hard to do so). A good Ziggs can kill you from 60-70% life in the early game if you misposition. A W shove into tower shot can also be very deceptive, but Ziggs hardly gets shoved in unless they play passive (which is very possible, Ziggs can last hit with basic attacks).

I watched Cowsep before because he was funny and shit but seeing only Master Yi games (and occasional other champions whenever Yi is banned) was getting kinda stale (and his content was getting boring as well). Nah, I'm gonna have to keep commenting for the algorithm until these videos are getting 50k+ views. Thumbnail game has hit its peak and the video content is the same as always, quality matches at high ELO that features informative commentary that dives into a challenger player's decision making process. Often times I think "Why did Pekin do that?" then two seconds later he's explaining his reasoning. Too many other content creators just smurf or lazily throw twitch stream highlights filled with annoying sounds up on their main channel and call it a day. This channel has almost 2k videos, Pekin has been on a relentless grind forever, making content specifically for this platform in addition to streaming. While I enjoy the chill vibe on Pekinwoof2, I have mad respect for the effort he puts into the main channel.

Depends if you need prio. Ziggs ult can be relatively short CD and with no objectives to contest it's a decent, yet low mmr, play to make. With proper recalls and efficient wave positioning, you can always have ult up and never rely on it to shove (outside of them crashing and pressuring a key tower, then it's very fine to use it if you're not there or need to poke them out of frontline reachability).

W sets up both the other basic abilities this is the strangest ziggs playing ive ever seen :p use W to bounce them into the E and W stuns them for a tiny bit so you can land Q if theyre low enough follow with R

You rarely want to be setting things up with your W. You want to use it as break into their pathing. This is not the strangest Ziggs gameplay. This is very decent. You rarely want to follow with R, travel time is too telegraphed. You want to open with it, use W to push back to center through animation cancel E. Basic attack once or twice depending on passive level reset. Q off cd. Ziggs E is better used when they must go through it no matter what happens. You can shove them using W but it's very hard to do reliably since you have to land it 90 degrees towards center. Easier to do on the R since the center is the same damage no matter where you push them in the center. They have to proc multiple mines, with both having a non cancellable windup, you can't combo both. R has that animation cancel aspect to it. It's better.

The problem with Ziggs is he has ostensibly no real weaknesses that can be exploited. He also has no hard counters (including Yasuo and Kassadin). As an artillery mage, it's hard to use range to counter him, and mage vs mage matchups are insufferably boring to play due to both sides needing to play neutral. He scales very well and has a fantastic earlygame, the opposite of Riven, a champion with a terrible earlygame and even worse late.
