Would you please demonstrate your packing procedures and shipping choices for items that are fragile? Like glass and ceramics? Thank you.
@janereyes83528 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that. Perhaps you could be more specific concerning how you choose your carrier, and why. Also, when creating a listing, what is the decision -making process you go through to make sure your shipping charges are accurate and the best way to advertise your shipping policy. I am serious Kevin about needing this information. I am new to this - only 6 months into my business and would like some help. I seem to be eating a lot of shipping charges. My niche is dinnerware, and glassware, and shipping is important. My customers spend good money for their tableware, and I seem to sweat the shipping part the most because of obvious damage possibilities. So, would you please consider doing a spot on how you go through your process? And when you do, would you let me know so I don't miss it?Thank You. Jane BTW, I used to live in Grayslake for over 12 years. I am in rural Kentucky now taking care of my elderly parents while trying to make a buck online because there are no jobs here. And the local Post Office is currently my only source for shipping, and a couple of precious items have been broken in transit. So again, I would appreciate the help.

I sold a Yamaha surround sound component with the tuner, remote and speakers a few months back on CL and could not sell for more than $60, and sold the speakers separately for $20 although I had it listed for $150... Original price I paid in the late 90s probably around$500, barely used because it had so many gadgets that it was in mint condition, also no scratches, etc. I am curious to know what is your opinion on it? Was this a good brand just not popular? It was the Yamaha Yamaha HTR- 5730 surround sound 550watt AV Receiver. 5 speakers, woofer, instruction manual AND original remote control. My brother in law just gave me his to sell, the next model up, same situation, mint but no remote, no manual, and no speakers and I want to know if I can sell it for a better profit or if that model isn't really worth that much. Thanks! Enjoyed watching your instructional video and learning a lot from them~

you're simply stating gross profit, not net. Anyone that's ever done business should know that. Gross profit is easy to figure, net is a bit tougher to figure, since even small things like the gas and time to find items should be calculated in, any storage costs, ect. i

Hey Pete! Just wanted to say you've been a huge inspiration the past couple of months when it comes to me deciding to become a reseller. In fact I am probably quitting my job soon and am going to attempt this full time. In the mean time though, I have a question: I've come to realize that figuring out how to ship items is just as much of a learned skill as it is trying to find the items to buy and resell to begin with. Have you done a video where you explain your methodology when it comes to shipping a lot of the weird bulky things that you buy? Like how do you figure out the price when it comes to charging the buyer for shipping? Is it like a complex sort of thing, or am I just overthinking it and it's actually just like a simple calculation that you use? Thanks for the videos, and have a wonderful day!

Good vid Peter, thank you. I was wondering about something with international shipping. How do you handle the customs and taxes. I don't want my buyers to be hit with any extra charges when they go to pick up their items at the post office but the post office isn't very helpful when it comes to this, they don't seem to be well informed. They just tell me they only collect it they don't have any idea how I can include it in my shipping charges. I don't think Canadian sellers have acess to Global Shipping Service through Ebay. What do you do?
