A blind man, a deaf man and a policeman living in the same flat block sounds like a British sitcom I’d watch

And the "If anything being said is offensive you don't have to put it on the subtitles" as well as him saying he should use the smiley emoji with sunglasses. I remember this being the first time I'd ever heard of Chris McCausland when I watched this clip a while back and this YT channel has clipped so much out. It still had me rolling but to cut it so harshly is ridiculous.

Good uploads of course but your channel's video titles are childish...
@DowncastParadox Жыл бұрын
Channels use titles like that because statistics show that it generates more views. It's stupid and annoying but it directly leads to more money so it's unlikely to stop anytime soon.
@crossmr Жыл бұрын
to me.. one of the question they should have asked was 'Didn't he notice that one of your eyes is a bit off?' Like if you look at him you can tell something isn't quite right. And you're trying to sign or wave to someone who seems to be looking in your direction over and over and they look a bit off you might start to figure out they're blind.
@iliano1 Жыл бұрын
The response would be"Well, I couldn't see what he was doing, so once again you have perfectly highlighted what probably happened"...
@crossmr Жыл бұрын
@@iliano1 Yes, but if the deaf neighbour had realised he was blind, which he should have done, he could immediately sought help to communicate with him. I find it very strange that someone would spend a month thinking he was being ignored by Chris when he can clearly see that there is something off with his eyes. The other guy was deaf, not blind.
@Home-u6g Жыл бұрын
But... the story was true, so your theory clearly didn't work in practice. He never noticed he was blind based on the eyes
@crossmr Жыл бұрын
@@Home-u6g Or it's more likely the story was embellished for TV. It's likely they had like one or two interactions over a large period of time and then they realised what was going on. The claim makes it sound like this was an on-going daily thing that was consuming them. Regardless of which, I still find it very strange that a deaf person wouldn't recognise the issue that is going on there.

It's a lot more common than you might think. There's about 340,000 blind people in the UK, of which only 20,000 are braille readers. In the US, it's estimated that 1 in 10 blind people know braille. It's mostly to do with how useful modern tech has become, but also how sporadic braille provision is. Very few businesses off any sort of braille support, for example.
@torontogirl98 Жыл бұрын
I remember he may have gone blind a bit later in life/gradually, so maybe it was harder and less of a priority to learn in combination with all the smart tech available
