Joel … love this one … brings back great memories of my time living in England (USAF). As one gay man to another your relationship with Keegan and the kids is the best. Love seeing the “normalcy” of a gay couple … family, pets, travel, working and just the mundane routine of living life. Also Joel, you should try local food, like those shellfish. I know you’re not too adventurous of an eater, but that’s the moment to try it!! Also how has he never been to a market?! Britain is KNOWN for great markets… Is that just a child speaking but not true? Or have you guys really not taken him out to great markets all the time? And also buttresses are those parts outside holding up the walls like outside Notre Dame in Paris. I think that was just a column capital…?

Love Scarbs, a mate lives there, it's right lovely. You can a train to York for £19 return and it's quicker than driving. ❤

these travel videos of yours are your most interesting. you have a knack of showing the spirit of a place -- as in your final montage. more of these would be very well received. on a separate note, i have never seen a dog as addicted to balls as much as ava. watching her absolute rapture as she chases and returns the things (or in other videos, just carries them about in her mouth) is a joy.

Ooh we have a bunch of Victorians in San Jose, in downtown. I lived in one for about two years! I love downtown, wish I could move back tomorrow but it won't be for a while. The Victorians were built in the Victorian era, as housing for teachers at what was then the "California State Normal School", a training facility for San Francisco school teachers which later became "San Jose State University". 🙂 Scarborough, you say? I live just down the road from there and often wondered what it was like inside. They have done a wonderful job of the restoration, I remember it before and it was a shell full of pigeons! Glad you enjoyed our little town and showed it off to its best.

Those Dodah's are called Corbels. a Corbel holds a shelf, table or beams for the scissor buttresses or however the ceiling was configured. Buttresses carry the weight and thrust of a tall wall and carry the force outside the wall, down to the ground and below - thusly, you can have taller walls with huge windows and not have bothersome columns in the way.

What a great weekend getaway. I'd love to spend a quiet vacation there. Antony and Peter's airbnb was so nice, and the town wasn't rammed with tourists, but looked like it had some mellow things to do. So weird to see your beaches compared to the ones where I live on the CA coast. Where in the world is your sand??

I was in Scarborough last year, and I took a taxi up to Ravenscar, and then walked along the cinders all the way back. I was an exhausted and on top of that I found out I had Covid! Still, I enjoyed it and I enjoyed your video!
