Thank you, thank you, thank you, for bringing us along on your cruise!... I know you feel like you're just waffling on, but it's way more for your invested members. It's a comedy, a travel log, a vicarious vacation, and a ride along with someone who shares a lifestyle we have in common. Looking forward to whatever gentle adventures you have in store for us. Bon Voyage! 🎉❤ Edit: As an artist, who paints non-traditional art, I would suggest that sometimes modern or abstract art doesn't tell you how to feel. And it helps if whilst you're looking at it, or your in it, to just see how it makes you feel and what it means to you, rather than it being obvious like... yeah, flowers... nice. And nothing you feel is inherently wrong. Your experience is valid. It does ask a little more from you, but that's kind of part of it. And hopefully, you experience something specifically different than you've felt before. Sorry for becoming professor Kev, but there can be real value in the experience of making sense within yourself of something that doesn't give you all the information. ❤

Peter! I’m am putting in my humble but fervent desire for Peter to start a KZbin channel. I don’t know him but his spirit and personality makes me certain that I would want him to be a British bestie and we’d gab, laugh and spill the tea and copious flutes of Veuve Clicquot Champagne during a fabulous soirée with friends he planned at his house.❤❤❤

Terrible motion sickness over here. Joel, have you tried the scopolamine patch that goes behind your ear? Each patch lasts three days before you need a new one and it doesn't make you crazy drowsy or have dry mouth the way some oral motion sickness meds do. In the US the scopolamine patch requires a doctor's prescription. For plane trips, I just do Dramamine and doze but for a cruise that's multiple days and you want to be alert and present, the patch has been great.

Joel, to help with your seasickness, take a dose of Non-Drowsy Dramamine every day that you are cruising in the morning. It helps, wonders!! It's a great preventative measure to curtail seasickness.

The church in Soulac (Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-fin-des-Terres) is in the Romanesque style; there are a couple of famous Romanesque churches in the centre of France (Auvergne). Still mineral water is "eau plate" and fizzy is "eau pétillante", so to order (politely) you say "De l'eau plate / pétillante s'il vous plait".

FYI - When I go on a cruise, I usually take Dramamine or seasick medicine every day a week before the cruise, so it's in my system, just incase of those rough sea days. And usually take it at night, right before bed.

Please tell Keegan I am 70 but back in the day worked out at Hacksaw Jim Duggan's gym. Wrestlers would come in all the time and had huge upper bodies but chicken legs. He has the best legs ever.I love those behind scenes of him. I did not not who Anthony was so watched a bit of of his soap. Do people recognise him on the ship? I love Peter. Such a sweet guy. Anyway, my ex and his girlfriend work out at the foo foo gym so I went to the muscle gym and it was the best thing ever. Sadly it closed when Jim moved. I'm coming to the UK in October after early voting for Kamala. We are taking the ferry from the UK to Rotterdam at the end of trip and eurostar back to London.

Ah man, Joel, I thought you took your coffee black like myself?? Disappointing! (lol I'm kidding, it's all good!) I take my coffee like I take my women: short, dark and strong 🙂 Looks like a nice trip, but I would rather go on P&O Cruises, on one of their UK Flag vessels: Britannia, Arvia, or Iona. Virgin is Flag of Convenience, which means they registered the ship in a 3rd world country, so they can pay the crew 300 USD/month and not give them breaks and meals in accordance with British labor law. As Virgin is a British company, it's disappointing that they did not flag their ships in Britain. That aside, those definitely look like good ports to visit! Having been on submarines in the USN, I miss the adventure of going to sea, but want to do it as a civilian next time. 🙂

The foreign language education in British secondary schools is really, really bad. I once went to a comprehensive school in Whitby for a month as an exchange student (I am Belgian) and was thrown out of the French class because I had to continuously correct the teacher. Her grammar was horrible and her pronunciation was laughable. After that, I was thrown out of the German class, too. I was a know-it-all brat at that time. It made me quite popular with the other students! They thought it was a hoot (it really was LOL).
