Shaker is probably one of the hardest things to do. You’re right hand is also godly. Carter, you’re the man dude. I got injured last year, can’t play anymore at 32.. you’re the only drummer i can still watch and enjoy. All the rest kinda pisses me off. You don’t show off your skills, you make me feel the music. I used to write for Drummer mag (UK), and got interview Matt Johnson, who played drums on Jeff Buckley’s Grace album. My biggest take-away from our interview/discussion was about how a drummer needs to be their own engineer/producer, in terms of balancing all the relative sounds. Carter, you do that so amazingly well. It’s awesome!
