@@Patrick-rr2qw I was doing the humming one and the tongue one, I didn’t really feel that much from the first one but that’s probably just because of where I lack movement.

I will definitley try these out. I always felt the basic exercises like chintucks, don't adress overall tightness at all (or may even increase them), but these exercises seem to hit the nail on the head. Will report back with results in a few weeks.

Hey is doing the humming exercise diaphragmatic breathing ?like if you do it wrong it will shift your jaw into a pattern? And do you have to be diagnosed to do it ? or anybody can do it to improve neck posture like the tongue method
@ZacCupplesPT8 ай бұрын
The big key with it is don't force it, it should be soft and gentle. Most people are safe to do it unless advised by a doctor otherwise

Wow, great video, I will Try all of these!! I really love the sound exercise, excited to try it. Your video have gotten so great btw. The last one of yours I saw was from 10 years ago doing SFMS breakouts. It saved my ass in understanding all those breakouts. But I kinda liked how goofy you were trying to fit in prone position on that yellow couch. That was cute. Let yourself be goofy it looks good on you.

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with a terrible pain in my neck and headache. To much tension and I feel like no oxygen in going into my brain. Sometimes I can be with any pillows. Even hurts when I’m in my left or right side sleeping what should I do?

I usually just say hum up/down vocal registry. There might be an official name, I just don’t know it

Hi Zac! I was wondering if following any exercise plan for muscle gain would affect the progress being made by your posture correction exercises. Typical muscle growth exercises like pushups, single leg glute bridges, bicep curls, tricep extensions and lower trap exercise (idk the name). Would trying to fix posture simultaneously work with gaining muscle or should do one after fixing one problem? For context, I follow your "Untwisting the legs" video to improve my left aic right bc pattern, the video for rounded shoulder called "4 exercises to fix rounded shoulders" and the video you made on anterior pelvic tilt "Fix anterior pelvic tilt for good". Would following these 3 patterns correction work because I have all three. Whatever workout plans I follow don't yield results. I would be much glad if you could help me with this doubt.
@ZacCupplesPT8 ай бұрын
It really depends on the person, but most people can do well with both. It’s becomes harder the further down the hypertrophy path you go. The best bet is to choose exercises that work within your movement available to minimize tradeoffs
@pyro45088 ай бұрын
@@ZacCupplesPT Ok so you mean that I can do anything as long as it's within what my current posture allows. Also, does trying to correct LAIC RBC pattern, rounded shoulders and anterior pelvic tilt at the SAME TIME have any depreciating effects on one another? I ask this because I tried for so long with many exercises and PRI stuff but couldn't see results.

Thanks so much for this one big Z! I’ve been looking for one from you concerning the neck!! I can turn my head more easily to the left but my right is restricted. I’ve tried opening my right ribcage via the left side lying 90/90 but notice I get easily tense and notice the tension in the front of my neck (adams apple) & my mouth despite my neck being laid neurally on a pillow. I think a lot of my tension is based in my neck, right eye & mouth / tongue, so will definitely give the last few exercises a real shot - as they aren’t ones I’ve done before! Thanks so much for this! Have a great day and thanks for all that you do!! :)

Hey Zac,I know I heard somewhere you had a maxillary expander yourself,so can I hear your about your experience,would you reccomend getting MSE ,cause im 18 cannot get the tongue up,tried everything on the internet,struggling with getting quality sleep,Im late(narrow palate,high arches),very limited neck ROM(a bit more than the before photo of ur client in this video)
@ZacCupplesPT8 ай бұрын
I didn’t have an MSE, but have had some colleagues who did. Some great results, others not. If a candidate and have someone who uses piezoelectric knife to assist, can help. Just have to be careful about asymmmetic expansion. I’d consult a good dentist
