The “hybrid” bass you caught was actually a saltwater stripe bass I could tell by its lines they where solid if it was a hybrid bass it would have broken lines

I'm definitely gonna have to check out that spillway sometime. There is a spillway on this side of the river I think you should check out sometime. I didn't catch anything last time I was there, but the time before that I caught a couple catfish and a really nice largemouth bass. Plus I know there are a lot of gar, carp, and I think even buffalo swimming around in there. One of my new favorite spots.

Great job. I've caught tons of alligator gar but only hooked two bowfin (grennal here in SE Texas) and landed neither. Both were caught on film and I erased one. The other is on YT.
