I went out there once, but was scared away by the no trespassing sign on the face of the spillway. I wasn't sure if that just meant don't climb on the spillway itself or if you were not allowed to be on the land itself being that it was the only sign I saw. Obviously lots of people fish there, including Nick.

Awesome! I caught my PB Flathead Catfish this Saturday night. 28.55 LBs. Jet black. I had to pull the rod holder out of the ground with the pole. Caught on a Shakespeare Tiger combo. What a battle!

That last spot you were at you can see that small gravel pad out in the water. The opposite side is shallow letting you wade out to it, giving you a perfect spot to cast into the deep pool. Give it a shot next time you head out!

Oh boy, lemme tell you about "Sewer Cover Kenny"....When I was 13 and my bestie was 16 (like it matters) we were at a small pond that was known for bass and big bluegill. I hooked what I thought was a log and being dumb kids, my buddy decided to try to snag it too so I could get my hook back (great idea right..lol.) He succeeded and we began the battle! Once we saw it, we had no idea what to do! This snapper was I-shit-you-not the size of a small sewer cover, about 2' 6" or more. Once out of the water Kenny broke both lines and he sauntered off back into the pond. I bet 15+ years later he's still the king of that pond.
