When he said “the world doesn’t revolve around you” I was so happy! Glad he stood up for himself because I’ve been seeing the red flags for a minute and nick isn’t perfect but she’s definitely sabotaging the relationship with her insecurities. I definitely see narcissist tendencies and hopefully nick can get out because I don’t see time or marriage counseling helping this situation. Danielle needs therapy, not a husband.

@@jodenise894 I never called her a narcissist. I said I see tendencies. And yea we can all do whatever we want but how selfish is it that Nick has to constantly reassure her when she could just focus on herself, go to therapy, and heal? It’s not like he cheated or did something to trigger her.. these are issues she brought into the relationship and has made a centerpiece. All I’m saying is from watching the showing she seems very emotionally draining

Oh well that man has a lot of patience for her. She put him through a lot and he still tried to understand her and support her. She does have a lot of insecurities indeed but somehow she seemed also a little manipulative to me.

Being with her is just soo exhausting. She can't even comprehend the situation and it's true everything revolves around her. Being with her doesn't stops everything else from happening why is it soo hard to understand that.

I was shocked when he said yes at the altar. Not shocked at all that they're divorcing. Danielle shouldn't have passed the psychological screening process to be on any television show. I hope she gets the help she deserves because no man can love all of those insecurities away.

Yes. It was hard to watch when she can’t take responsibility for her own actions. She would make it hard for Nick to even express himself without thinking that she would victimize herself and they would fight over the little things. Hope they can navigate each other’s differences.

Even at the reunion, Nick mentioned how they are going to couples therapy and how HE has to learn to listen. He does this multiple times throughout the show where we see how he is changing his behavior to serve her. He probably discussed it more in the camera himself. Danielle on the other hand never mentioned her flaws and didn't bring up any of the bad ways she would devolve great moments (post meeting the parents, the cake) into crazy fights. This shows signs of not just insecurity but true selfishness.

Great content ! That is how we should look at shows - not for the drama , but a bunch of people with our personalities and opportunities to grow and understand themselves . You would think some pshychological help would be offered on the show to help highlight and guide the contestants through their ‘ patterns’ . 🦋

This video is fascinating and I’ll admit I was initially surprised that they would be compatible because when I watched the meeting of the parents show, I just assumed they are incompatible because she’s so insecure and seems to be utterly self-absorbed and controlling. So now I realize that was just my cringing at her issues and thinking if I were him, I’d run the other way. I love that it’s not as simple as that. So fascinating!! Thank you for another great video!!!

Good analysis. I feel like almost everything is how Nick can help / be there for Danielle. A part from the small thing - that he likes her goofiness and spontaneity , and getting something from it, EVERYTHING else seems to revolve around Danielle’s needs. It looks like a very “good deal” for Danielle, because he can be there for him. BUT when it comes to Nick, I’m very worried for him. Because - especially because Danielle doesn’t seem to work on her issues or even say sorry for her mistakes - Danielle will suck more and more energy out of Nick until he’s burned out emotionally. She seems - when it comes to how she appears in the series - as if she is an “energy vampire” - which is very similar to how a narcissist behaves. I hope I’m wrong! What do you think?

Her on the deck was just so mind-blowing. They were contractually obligated to go to that, so he went- she stayed back because she was sick. But then she basically watched them from the room patio and got angrier and angrier. Why didn't she go to the party so she could put her insecurities at rest? It was just so sad to watch- I really hope she's OK and is getting help

Danielle... girl needs therapy more than she needs a husband. That isn't a judgment on her character, btw... just that her insecurities are ones that I had with myself when I was in my teens and 20s, so I recognize the issues she's having and how she is sort of self-sabotaging. That said, she handles her insecurities way differently than I handled mine (I am an ISTP, married for 18.5 years to an INTJ). She picks fights and reads into things that aren't there. That is something one of my family members did a lot to their partner that would drive me nuts (as a spectator). I do really appreciate other aspects of her personality though... namely her fun-loving nature. A lot of people thought her hotdog and corncob costumes and the Guitar Hero stuff constantly out made her seem, well crazy (or immature)... but THAT is totally my kind of crazy haha. I was here for it lol. The part where her friends destroy her property and it's not big deal for her... eh... maybe not so much 😂 Nick... there are aspects I like about him (makes his own toothpaste, which everyone laughs about, but honestly, that's something I would do too lol), but there are other aspects of his personality that seriously rubbed me the wrong way. I hated that the first words out of his mouth when he entered her *totally normal* apartment was "Wow what a mess! How can you live like this?!" That would not go over well for me haha. That felt VERY ESFJ to me... and it's not surprising that I would not respond well to that... I have two ESFJs in my life and lets just say, our personalities do not mesh well. I do think he does a good job understanding her insecurities though and helping her through them. I hope they last, but like I said, Danielle needs therapy.

I love that you have a balanced view of people - you take the good and the bad. People are complex, no one is a cartoon character. I think both Nick and Danielle have been scarred in different ways from their upbringing if you observe their interactions with their respective parents. I do feel for both of them. I’m glad Danielle found Nick because honestly he probably is the only person who could handle her because of his type and his past trauma with his cold fish family.

@@DrCherieTypes lol yeah their families. This was where I really identified with this couple. Danielle's family was pretty much my family. Right down to the inappropriate sex conversation! 😂 I almost thought they hired my actual family as actors HAHA! My mom is an ENTP and has zero filter and loves to, well, stir the pot, lol. Conversely, Nick's family was pretty similar to my husband's family. Kind of stoic, not a whole lot of exuberance. Their issues are more internal rather than external like Danielle's family. Anyway, looking forward to more of these breakdowns! *subscribed*

Danielle still needs to work on her insecurities , character and Attitude, she is toxic for this guy. Watching the show I can’t help but feel Nick shouldn’t have continued to marriage. They both have to be true to themselves, forcing it because you think you accept each others flaws n vulnerabilities isn’t the true meaning of marriage. In a few years Nick will realize love only isn’t enough

Such an interesting video and analysis. I have a question- how do you differentiate between Fe dominant and Fi dominant expressing Fe traits and hence being actually an unhealthy Fi like Danielle does?
@DrCherieTypes
@DrCherieTypes 8 ай бұрын
That’s a really good question and often it’s not easy. I observe how they express themselves the majority of the time and what state of mind they’re in when they use Fi or Fe. Dominant functions should predominate in natural speech, esp when they are comfortable and “in flow”. Fe dominant types tend to make their values sound like a group value, vs Fi owns their values. When Fi dom is being “Fe”, they either still express it making reference to themselves, eg. I know how you feel because I would feel this in your shoes, OR they would see “Fe” as being a pushover, or feel like they are withholding a part of themselves, or feel exhausting doing it.
