I've lived the fact that ESTJ just don't take advice for their own benefit, they just can't see it... it's frustrating. And they don't look out for other's feelings. ESTJ really need to work on that and be mindful to consider when someone is being truthful to them.

I know this is an old video, but I would love to see some videos with you comparing types between the seasons! Like Uche reminds me of This seasons 7s Leo, so I'd love a comparison video between them, also, seasons 7 Garrett reminds me Zach! Thank you have a great day excited for this seasons videos! 💗💗

Yesss she needs therapy and Jesus’s love so she can feel fulfilled without depending on a man like a psycho. She crashed the hell out when he doesn’t say love you exactly how she wants it and he couldn’t even speak his mind, and I couldn’t take how insecure & crazy she is ..jimmy was a good man cause she never takes accountability I would have already seen the issues she had. In her mind no matter how often he says I love you it’s not enough bc she doesn’t really love herself.

Dr. Cherie. I think you nailed it and that if Nicole does not become less defensive of Sam and more sensitized to Benaiah's feelings and express more respect for Benaiah's love for her then this marriage could be endangered.

”The sweet boy never wins”. Please. There are millions of women who really long for a sweet man. Other men can be abusive and violent, narcissistic etc and what I personally want is exactly what he thinks noone wants. A sweet boy, well, guy, man, not a school boy as I’m obviously not a school girl, but you get my point. Edit: i haven’t watched the show so I don’t know anything about this particular guy, but I just reacted to the saying.

Damn the explanation of shifting between 2nd and 3th function 🤯.. Especially when being happy using the 3th in an almost childlike way.. And how it's a big shift to others.. I see that defenatly happening with my Ni and Se especially with dating 😮. Some dates trigger my Ni.. And I get all philosophical and scanning their personality and predicting how it affects our compatibility in the future.. And some make me feel way more at ease and a bit clumsy and experience oriented and just having fun, generally feel like the person is cute because they make me feel this way.. And I feel like I haven't used my brain 🤣🤣

Sabrina and Steven remind me of me and my partner. I was very pragmatic when I first met my partner and he admired that about me. When we started living together though I was very needy and he was focused on his routine. It was overwhelming for me so I was similar to Sabrina in the sense that I wasn't thinking too clearly on the nuances of love languages. I do want to acknowledge that your analysis is based on the show itself, not outside news, so I don't mean to correct you on anything. I will still point out that Sabrina said in an interview that the show edited out clips of Steven and her talking about their possible living situation; she said the lease on her house didn't end by the end of the shooting, and that she didn't want to live in Steven's small apartment with his roommate... Why didn't Sabrina ask what his place was like in the pods if she wanted to move to London? And why did she ask him if she sees himself living in Ireland? Honestly her media response is still inconsistent to me

I relate so much to the guy.. But it was with a friendship in which my "friend" was emotional abusive in exactly the same manners.. and I tried to keep reasoning with her and took it very personal aswell. She defenatly was very resentfull and kept bringing it up. Defenatly matching our types aswell. I am an enfj (Fe obviously) and she an enfp (the Si). And this might explain why I have to talk things through with different people aswell.. To hear different perspectives to not get persuaded into the one that blames me. Althow I generally have a pretty strong moral compass.

What sort of personality theory is this? Where can one test it? I first thought this was the 16 personality types, i.e. The Myers brigg one, but there's nothing about these 4 cognitive functions in that, and nothing about there being an extro/intro axis within the cognitive functions.

This is one of the couples that broke my heart because I think communication was literally at the cusp and they gave up too early. Especially since they complemented each other so well. Something I loved about the LIB couples of UK is they were mostly pretty well complemented. It makes me sad that this one broke down and I can’t help but think what could’ve been like say Zack and Bliss.

Dr. Cherie I really enjoyed this season of Love is Blind. I felt there was more focus of the couples than drama as we sometimes have in the American seasons. I hope you will cover all the couples. I know we usually go over how couples breakdown but I hope you will go over some green flags. Like what made Bobby and Jasmine work. Also what is your take on why Maria and Tim didn’t work and why Tim chose Maria instead of the other well meaning lady.

That the description of Se and Si hured me 🤣 as an Enfj I love experiences! In love I am actually looking for a man that shares my love language quality time. I want to sport together, walk the dog together and I want him to initiate outings.. I search for that leadership and initiative.. As in previous relationships my men were lazy and all the bonding experiences came out of my initiative. Weird how it sais Se likes Si and then the Si is like take me on an experience.. Cause I've been in love with an guy that had adhd and a super active and fun life but he was very much an follower in planning things.. Doing things. Which annoyed the f out of me. I hate it aswell that I should be the persuing those princess guys. I don't want it. But I can't seem to find these guys with that healthy initiative that actually showes that leadership. I want a golden retriever and all I find are black cats 🤣. Althow it's very common for men to be avoidant attached so this has probably something to do with it.

I see the functions you see Dr Cherie but in a different order. Nicole strikes me as more of an Ne Fi Te Si. I think Ne is her hero that’s why she was able to move on from Benaiah so quickly especially seeing the clip of how strongly they connected at the reunion I think it was uncharacteristic of a Te hero to give up so easily on someone they have such a strong connection with. Especially since Nicole’s goal was love not marriage. So I see her being a bit unskilled with Te than it being her hero. It’s giving child Te with Fi parent. Also she didn’t seem like Fi was her weakness. She seems so confident in her Fi that it has to be higher in her functional stack. I understand that we get better at our fourth functions as we get older but they still tire us out. I don’t see Nicole trying to form a life around that Fi function because that would be exhausting and terrifying if it really is her 4th function. A corporate job would be a dream for a Te hero. It would be very uncharacteristic of them to leave that familiarity to be a nomad with Benaiah which is what her Fi desires.
@tunzlunz
@tunzlunz 20 күн бұрын
Another thing is I see many seeing Nicole as dismissing Benaiah’s feeling when it came to his warning of Sam but once again it’s the way Benaiah presented it. Very Fe of him to say, Sam was saying this about you and that about you. Instead of saying that Sam said some nasty about someone I love and it really hurt my feelings. So Nicole responds by reassuring him that she’s fine. Once again her very confident parent Fi says don’t worry about what Sam says or who Sam says I am. I know who I am. So she missed the mark of reassuring Benaiah because she didn’t understand what Benaiah was saying. I’m not blaming Benaiah by the way. As Dr Cherie has pointed out it’s just them not understanding each other’s functions. Though I am comforted to see that when they came back for the reunion Nicole seems to finally understand how much Benaiah was hurting by the things Sam said about her.

I was very skeptical of personality typology for a long while especially after learning about how MBTI (it was my gateway into typology) was created and how personalities are too variable depending on different situations and scenarios to fit into a certain type. However, after watching more of your videos and the cognitive function approach, now I see how these functions map out a blueprint of a person's thinking and feeling abilities and the according ways in which they can manifest (or not manifest), whilst you still take into consideration individual triggers that shape people to be individual, yet still have a certain core of reason and emotion, and this is very insightful. Your analytical approach is very pleasant to listen to and super easy to understand. I think I'll look into cognitive functions more deeply because of this channel, from a new perspective. Thank you.

This is actually why I didn't care about it being debunked as I could use it as a great self reflection tool, to understand certain habits more and see where I could learn and develop more (shadow functions) aswell as have a better understanding of how people can differ in how they perceive things. Althow boxing other people in a personality type can feel like an too ridgit box to understand them. When others describe their views with their explanation of their own type it can help tho.. For instance enfp's seemed on the surface a lot like me.. And there was this confusion of why we see things differently. And as a Fe dom I had conversations with an IxTJ about our difficulty in sometimes understanding eachother and he pointed out he had Fe in his blindspot. Other words didn't seem to describe it that well for us so it can defenatly help in the communication aswell :).

Could he subconsciously assume that if he points out the obvious, the other person would do the work of putting together the body of evidence or that other people can see things as obviously as he can?
@DrCherieTypes
@DrCherieTypes 18 күн бұрын
Both really good points. Your 1st point: We tend to wish that other people would "do" our lower functions for us, because they take us energy - for Benaiah, that involves gathering the concrete evidence (Ti, Se) to back up his overall conclusion, what he's projecting about Sam's character and intentions (Ni, Fe). Your 2nd point: We tend to take our dominant functions for granted, and assume everyone else has our same ability because it comes so natural to ourselves. In this case, Benaiah can easily think: If it's obvious to me, then it's obvious, period.
