Great tips! I'm blessed to have 6 of my 12 11U player roster that love to play catcher. We are working on better pop time with the right/left footwork right now. Keep the tip videos coming!

Such a great vid. Sometimes I struggle as a coach to use key words in describing techniques to use. So awesome.

I wish we were closer. We just did two trips to Florida in the past two months for college showcases. One in Fort Myers and the other in Daytona. Where are you located?

@@YouGoPro Shawn was born in FL. We lived in south Jacksonville for about 9 years and moved up north. We are trying to get back home (FL). Shawn wants to go to college in FL. Thats why we are making the trips to FL for the college showcases.

Too many catchers worry about the runner so much they call straight fastballs and the batter ends up hitting the ball deep…good catchers control the runner by controlling the batter

I watched Ivan Rodriguez, Buster Posey and Yadier Molina's videos throwing to second base in slow motion and, It doesn't look like that at all. That little step forward with the right feet doesn't exist.

He missed, stay low as you move your feet. Use your legs to drive your body through the throw! If you stand up as you move your get the ball will end up in centre field😬
