The review part of this video is not sponsored nor did I receive any money to review the item. While I sometimes get bags for free, I have to pay custom fees, shipping fees and all my videos have lots of production costs (e.g. software and music rights). Therefore I invest my own money into all of these videos and I have no intention to be biased towards a product or company. Every review and quicklook is written by me and no company can pay for preferential scheduling or what is said in the video. HOW I REVIEW:
As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:
A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.
AFFILIATE LINKS:
No matter if I like or dislike a product, I want to make it easy for you to check out the product yourself. Therefore I include a link of the productpage. If marked with a star *, that link is an affiliate link, meaning if you buy the product via the link you DO NOT pay more, but you will support the channel.

When you asked about future Aer products I wished he would maybe mention something about a camera bag. And a while after that you were talking about cameras. Very cool!

AER is a wonderful brand. Their Fit pack is an already classic design. Enjoyed the conversation a lot.

I absolutely love AER .. easily my favorite bag brand. However... after going to Japan many times since getting into bags, I noticed there are TONS of bags over there that basically look identical to AER bags. And I was really wondering what's going on here... are AER just copying these bags, or vice versa? Maybe AER has a brand in Japan under a different name or something? Either way, massive fan of AER bags.

Thanks for watching. That's an interesting observation and question. Would love to know either. But considering Aer has been in the game for so long, I assume they have been copied

I live in Japan and I've been following the bag/backpack hype probably from the early days. Like Bo said, I believe it's "vice versa"as well. If I remember correctly, aer bags came out and they were rare and expensive, then afterwards these other similar bags started coming out. I think this similar bag producing brand put more effort in advertisement and supplying stores with bags here in Japan.

@@memsterk8 Ah interesting ok. I lived in Japan in 2010 and I don't remember there being THAT many amazing bags around.. but ever since I got into AER every time I go to Japan I just see them everywhere... like theyre IDENTICAL except the brand. It's kinda nuts.

Awesome video! I definitely feel more connected to AER and really enjoyed seeing how cool and genuine Allen seems to be. I just realized you live in Germany. I’m moving to there in the next few months. How long have you lived in Germany and are there any German brand backpacks that you’re a fan of? Danke! 👊🏼

Holyyy, it’s crazy that it’s been 10 years since Aer started. I was in high school when I was introduced to it and now it’s literally one of my fav brands of all time. The quality in their bags is crazy, legit used my X-Pac city sling 2 on a boat ride and literally nothing got wet inside even though I got soaking wet from the rough waves. It’s not even advertised to be waterproof but at least I know that my stuff will be fine as long as I don’t dunk it into the sea 😂 I would love to see Aer open up more on accessories tho like travel bottles. I remember that they used to have a wallet. Also please make another white X-Pac bag that’s not collab related 👀 Thank you Bo and Allen for the wonderful podcast, may have fangirled a bit too hard when I saw the title and thumbnail. And please keep making podcasts so that I could listen and support ya while drawing (and do my skincare LMAO) 🥺🫶

The podcast is about a month old. I was definitely late to the party. I always publish my podcast on Patreon and KZbin membership first, that is why they seem a bit late here

Bo REALLY wants Allen to be a "sling bag guy" 😂. Probably asked him if he carries a sling bag like ten times throughout the interview

Had to return a bag from AER, but they didn’t honor their return policy. Had to file a claim with my credit card company. Multiple messages but AER never return a reply. Dishonorable company and will never buy from them again.
