Good review. And I totally agree with you. I was one of the contributors on the design behind this project and I had similar feedback as well and I was not too sure of the back panel and straps. The lack of breathability on the back panel restricts the usability of the pack. I think it's not too good for extended periods and slightly more adventurous use and this is where I feel it loses out to Aer TP which was also only intended for urban environments but seems to be decently equipped to handle a bit more. ;) The straps look fine on video though (I initially thought there should be waist straps but now they seem unnecessary because the actual strap is quite wide). Also personally, I thought the design was good but I was not a fan of the zippers too but I think you made a solid point/suggestion of color marking the zippers I think even making the top loading one into orange or something would be nice.

+Suraj Shetty thanks for the in depth comment. So are you going to get the bag? I agree with you : this probably isn't a bag for any type of outdoor adventure, but it isn't intended for that. Its definitely more toned down than the aer and to my understanding more suited for those city business trips. The aer has the same use case to me but is slightly more casual and urban in a way. Both are pretty cool and good nevertheless 😉

Bo Ismono Thanks for checking it out. :) I’m actually keen on the Northface Surge transit backpack (the newer version). Any thoughts? I purchased a Borealis backpack earlier for school (on a massive discount) and their flexvent suspension system has been a great experience for me. It’s a bit tough and probably not for everyone but if it fits then it’s a hard bargain.

Nice reviews!! Please try to do reviews on the Nomatic bags /packs...
@rocioiribe58417 жыл бұрын
ahhh i'm so glad you reviewed this. it is really going to help my decision. i've been wanting to transition to one bag travel for a while. i debated on just getting a daypack and traveling really minimally like the Invisible Backpack. But now i am trying to decide between this one, the Minaal 2.0, and the Peak Design Every Day backpack. The problem for me has been that i'm one of those people that wants to believe there is a product out there that is the perfect balance between stylish and functional. Most backpacks look like just that, backpacks, which just remind me of going to school. Anyway, i'm just thinking out loud at this point. In the end, thanks for this review. it will help in making my selection. :)
@Youknowthebo7 жыл бұрын
Hey Rocio, I'm glad that you like this video. I haven't tested the minaal yet. But if it comes down to looks (especially for a woman) I would recommend the Invisible because it is more toned down in looks. The peak design is rather targeted for equipment carry rather than carry on traveling as far as I see it. Let me know if you have any more questions. Cheers!

Bo Ismono thanks for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully you can get your hands on the minaal. I'd be curious what you think. 👍

Have you checked into the Past One? they are redoing it, but a bit pricey for me. I'm researching duffle bags and rear seat bags for two upcoming motorcycle trips in July and November so many choices. I may do a product review article on them for my blog or maybe for a magazine.
@Youknowthebo7 жыл бұрын
The past one? You mean an earlier development version? I haven't seen it. Not sure if this is a good bag for riding. The flaps probably catches a lot of wind while riding.
@bikecommuter247 жыл бұрын
I would not use it on the motorcycle, too many purpose made bags for that, I just saw it someone else's video, Its a kickstarter thing they got a web site, honestly its not a bag I would get it does not fit in with my packing needs or style I already got good carryon luggage. I just came across it while looking for bags for travel and motorcycle use, there are a couple of companies making luggage for motorcycles that can be use for airline travel too. Anyhow here is the link. www.indiegogo.com/projects/pakt-one-the-only-travel-bag-you-ll-ever-want-design

Hey Bo, Do you think the bag is weatherproof enough even though the zippers are not protected (no aquagard, etc) ? Would it be able to go through a heavy rain ? Thank you !
@roldanguillermo6 жыл бұрын
Hi Bo, I am seroiously considering purchasing this bag. The most important feature I search in a carry on backpack is comfort. This bag, is comfortable to wear? Compared to aer travel backpack, which is more confortable? Do you know Evergoods MPL30? Do you think it can work well as a carry on travel bag? I think I shoot you too many questions.... I am sorry. But I have to many doubts and I think you are the person who knows more about this issue.
@Youknowthebo6 жыл бұрын
Hey Guillermo. No worries about all of the questions. 😂 The invisible is very comfortable to carry. Just like the invisible backpack two it is overall very soft and flexible, so it hugs your back quite well (depending on what you are packing of course. To me this one is slightly more comfortable than the aer, but they are totally different of course

Wonderful reviews and high quality editing! One overall question, does the quality of the Invisible family of bags, especially the new TWO 2018, live up to the hype? I am very hard on my bags and the zipper on an Incase bag of mine just failed after about 2.5 years. Are the Invisible bags worth the money?
@Youknowthebo6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Drew. I really like the invisible bags. But "being hard" on the bags is quite subjective. Obviously it is not as tough as a goruck, but I personally never had problems with it. I usually carry around 10kg of overall weight in that bag

Thanks, Bo. I went ahead and grabbed the 2018 TWO, excited to give it a whirl!

Saw this bag online few days ago, surprised to see your review so quickly, well done. The functionality seems great but the zipper pulls and the shape seems like a deal breaker for me. Maybe removing the zipper pulls would look better as they seem make the bag messy.
@Youknowthebo7 жыл бұрын
+Wilson thanks, mate. It's early because it's a pre production unit. Therefore this is just a Quicklook. Not sure if there will be changes to the production model, but the shape would probably stay the same

I like the idea of this bag! I find that backpacks with zipper expansion tend to sag a lot when expanded and packed full/heavy. Do you find this the case with this bag too? I like the Aer travel pack since it’s durable enough to keep shape even when it’s packed full.
@Youknowthebo7 жыл бұрын
+Kevin K hey Kevin. Usually I would agree on the "sagging issue" but this expansion is kept to a minimum and uses the same material. With most expandable luggage one part is a hard shell and the expansion is soft. With that "sagging" is more pronounced. With this bag this isn't much of an issue
@ki39767 жыл бұрын
Bo Ismono thanks!! I’m relieved... was really disappointed when I first bought the Incase travel backpack and the bag was sagging wayyyy down! I’ll keep this on my wish list for this year. Thanks for being so awesome! Looking fwd to your videos this year!

I'm designing a bag that has a bit of a similar shape. What don't you like about it?
@Youknowthebo6 жыл бұрын
Hey Tristan, The "problem" with this waterdrop like shape is more because of visual aspects. I'm fairly short for this size of a bag, so having the bottom wider than the top makes me appear even smaller or the bag even bigger on my back. That's of course just a personal thing. Furthermore, if the bottom is wider, weight might concentrate on the bottom which then again can make carrying the bag more exhausting over time. But with this bag this is not as pronounced and not a problem.
@MusicalDistractions6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for explaining! I find that a little bit of extra weight at the bottom could make a bag that actually stands up when you put it down (something surprisingly rare). I've noticed that many aerodynamic motorcycling backpacks have a similar "drop" like shape. If you look Ogio Mach bags you can see a similar shape. What do you think of the shape in that situation? I don't plan on using hard materials, but I appreciate the aerodynamic look.

AH! So close to perfect... two deal breaking cons for me: 1. Doesn't look weather resistant enough (overkill for something I probably won't be taking outdoor hiking but a feature I look for in all my bags) 2. Those clips on the side. Can imagine them flapping aound which I find very annoying. Thanks for the quick look. Any idea when a production model will be released and whether more improvements are incoming? Cheers.
@Youknowthebo7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Andrew. It is fairly waterresistant, but not 100% of course. But if they had made it even more waterresistant than the material would have been heavier and less flexible. To me this lightweight and flexible material is just like on the Invisible Backpack one of the most important factors why the Invisible backpack two is one of my favorite bags. You just don't feel the bag on your back on you can get so much into them whilst still looking fairly slim. I'm not sure when they will release the retail version and if there are more changes to it. Cheers, mate ;-)
@iandrewtv7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, alas. My favourite daily carry is a Cuccoon slim backpack with a 'raincoat' that comes out from the bottom and covers the whole bag. Unfortunately it's too shallow a profile to comfortably carry my headphones (huge over ear cans). My second is a generic Quicksilver bag for skateboarding that has lasted me years (surprisingly) which is too large for daily carry. It's so hard finding the perfect bag (that's affordable) LOL. The search continues. Thanks for the reviews and keep up the good work.
@Youknowthebo7 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Yeoh after having tested so many bags, I can totally agree with you: finding the perfect bag is difficult. But mainly because your needs basically change depending on the trip or the stuff you carry. But having so many options is sometimes pretty fun. Thanks for watching my videos. Cheers, mate 😉 ✌️
