yep, after seeing three, this is definitely the best, making the string fewer somehow feels better, others have more strings, but it feels like the sound is washed out.

PyroFierceDeity You don't have to love Chrono Cross to appreciate the music, man. I fucking hated it with a passion, despite considering CT one of the best games of all time. That's doesn't stop me from appreciating the work of talented musicians, nor does it stop anyone else. I've heard larger ensembles do a better job than they did, and that's no knock against the fantastic job they did.

I think the violin solo is, in fact, not from the one who is in camera during the part, but rather the other lady with glasses on sitting right the other side. As you can see on the video, the movement of her hand is slightly different from the music.

Compare to other live performance where a ton of artists are gathered to perform this masterpiece on the Internet, this one only need 11 of them and it still able to give me the same chills as the original at 1:12. Plus the violinist at 2:36 just made this song even more perfect. P/S: The music is so emotional that it forced guy behind the blond-haired guy at 2:23 to smile :D

I think the person on flute is improvising which inspired the 1st violinist to improvise and that is why the band is smiling and grinning, cause it's unexpected for them. My favorite arrangement of this song on all of youtube is this vid.

I know the violinist is great but after so many years I think the bouncing/thumping bass gets really overlooked in this performance. It's much simpler than what the violinist is playing but man does it tie everything together and add some flavor.

The pronounced basslines throughout much of the Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger OSTs are a big part of what make them so great. Gotta love that bass, and this guy executed it perfectly along with the rest of the orchestra. This really is one of my favorite performances of all time, of any piece of music.
