Youmacon 2019 VFX Cosplay Music Video

My first time driving and crossing the boarder from the West side toward Detroit, Michigan, it was quite an exciting adventure all the way!
On first impression, everything I saw and heard about Youmacon was big. It is definitely among the large venues I attended and thankfully, it never felt overcrowded. This time around, I think I had more fun walking around in cosplay "pink Darth Vader!", enjoying the unique view and getting to meet some of my fans from around the area. When it came to filming my typical cosplay videos, I'm not exactly sure why but I had a lot of turn downs for various reasons. I don't think I did anything wrong, my method of approaching cosplayers is still the same if not improved with more video content to prove myself but the ratio of turn downs was extremely high... I even had a case of a cosplayer I filmed with giving me a shady IG account that's not his when taking note of contact info for tagging later. I did my usual best with what I got but overall, I'm left with the impression that the community around here is not particularly used to get asked for cosplay videos, or maybe I mostly asked the wrong people at the wrong times. Honestly, Youmacon is a large and beautiful convention, the cosplays I saw were amazing. If I plan to come back again, I would really love to meet more local cosplayers, get to know more about the community and hopefully film more cosplay videos in all vfx fashion!
