- Broooo, I've seen more women (rather than men) be negatively aggressive towards breastfeeding. It's sick and sad 🥺 - the dynamic of being "too young" or "too old" when having a child is 🥴 people think you're too young bc of the no house, not married (yet), and still living with/ having your parents support? People are equating maturity based on what your assets are. Ew. First off ppl in their 20s basically can't get a house (too young) then as soon as you hit 30 you're too old to have a baby?? Bro chiiiill!! Having family support is AMAZING! Why is having a baby in your family home looked down on? Best possible place if you ask me. -anyway so happy for u mama ! Excited for you ! 🌷💕💐

You're going to be the coolest mum at the playground haha. Re: unplanned vs planned. I always feel like that question is a subtext convo about if the child is wanted. Unplanned does not equate unwanted. If I'm standing before you pregnant, the child is wanted. Otherwise I would've had an abortion, for my sake and the child. So why ask?

@@theleafofgrass re-reading my comment I totally see how it lacks that nuance. Thank you for adding this. I grew up with the privilege of knowing I could always have an abortion if necessary and still hold that privilege. It does make me wonder even more as to why someone would ask that question, if the pregnant person is forced to be pregnant wouldn't it be even more painful to be asked that? Genuinely so curious as to why as a society this question is socially acceptable and where it came from in the first place.

Like your opinions are very similar to my own when it comes to parenting and tips to take care of yourself sound great! Obviously no body is the same so what you suggest may not work for me but what you are suggesting sound doable and great and that's amazing! I totally relate to your feelings towards breastfeeding and just want to support you on that. I’m 24 and had my son last July and it was one thing I was determined to do, once I told the midwives during labour that it was a goal for me, they were equally determined and helped me and my baby get there. There’s definitely some fear mongering to sway you against BF but if it’s right for you, people around you should support you in making that happen x

Yeah I had my first 2002 I was 20! My mum did everything she could to get my head totally away from breastfeeding- she was vile! And I didn’t do it and was subsequently very embarrassed with my other two despite being then in my own home and away from her! She basically made it so awkward when I was 20 that when I had my second child I had to send her a text saying IF you come to see my baby I WILL be breastfeeding! My daughter is now 20 and when she has kids I’ll be the opposite and will encourage her to do it!!!

Hope for u that the bad feelings will subside, but I heard it is quite common for woman to feel that way (feel shameful) whilst breastfeeding the first few times, it has to do with hormones being released that are new for the body. it is kinda confused, so it is making u feel funny.
