I think the thing that amazes me the most is the absolute chill you have while describing such a hard time. You really have a strong mind 💗 I am feeling extremely vulnerable just watching but I also love how real this feels. I know each pregnancy is different though we only ever get the sugarcoated versions of what truly happens in what I believe are the majority of the cases
@KeelinMoncrieff2 жыл бұрын
It’s hard not to sugarcoat when you’re gifted your baby for fear of seeming ungrateful/regretful of your choices if that makes sense so I understand why more women don’t tell the full story - & also I wouldn’t want to scare anyone because it IS all worth it in the end & I would do it again in a heartbeat 💖💖

Wow Keelin! I’m a general nurse and now a student midwife and this is really good advice! All is very factual, and literally what we are being taught right now! you really did your reading! You are absolutely flying it! You go Mama! 😍😍

This video is so brilliant, I discovered your channel whilst I was pregnant (I gave birth to my little guy 1 week ago today) and I have just managed to feel more human to watch a bit of KZbin and the way you talk about everything is exactly how I am and I had a very similar birth to yours, forceps delivery, episiotomy etc. It’s so refreshing to hear you speak as you do, you are a complete badass and I am a huge fan!

The jaundice is because through the placenta the baby gets your blood while also having their own when they’re born they have a build up of bilirubin - a chemical that occurs naturally in your baby's blood. They need to then flush the excess out. Most babies are jaundice free within a week/or a few days with breast/bottle feeding & lots of wet nappies. For a severe jaundice babas ! Lots of fluids, sunlight & sometimes UV lights are needed. Me wee boy took over 4 weeks to get rid of his jaundice and needed the UV therapy lamp in NICU. Always mention it to your paediatrician if your concerned they’re yellow colour isn’t fading 🥰
