I always interpreted this song a little differently. Instead of the wolf fighting its instincts, he is trying to convince the rabbit he isnt going to harm them. But in reality, hes luring them in with this hypnotic melody. I dunno, i just feel it sound sinister in a way.

Meh. A lot of people view it differently. Because my friend thinks it's about an abusive relation ship, but I actually think that the wolf really wants to be friends with the rabbit, and tries to defy society by doing that. But eventually he gets so insanely hungry he can't resist it anymore and he kills the rabbit. Then, after realizing what he's done, he refuses to eat the rabbit and takes care of the dead body and eventually dies next to the rabbit. Although it's a little far-fetched that's how I think the story goes.

I think that this could be the tale of a person who has finally settled down. They've lost their old ways of hurting others, and after trying to catch this one person - the 'rabbit' - they finally gave up and realised it was pointless. They're then trying to tell the 'rabbit' that they've changed, and that even the thought of hurting someone else ever again is making them sick. ...This is just my interpretation; it's highly likely to not be anywhere near the real meaning.
