One thing you can say about Joe and John, they were not cowards.

Barbara Parkins was stunning in this forgotten movie. Great acting by her and Peter.

This is a nice movie ..I think the actor portrayed him pretty well.don't know his name but handsome ! Joe jnr was a more serious type and that came across through the movie. I found it interesting learning more about him. We don't have too much considering he died young. I do wonder had he lived would he defy his parents and marry that lady the same way Kick Kennedy married her man .id like to think he woild, but then again he was the most dutiful and obedient out of all the children so I think not. All those kids especially the boys...had too much pressure on them to win at all costs. I feel the pain of all those who lost men due to the war 😥

So, this video was uploaded with duel audio tracks. One track picks up the ambient 'white noise' you hear with the cracking sound you can hear. The other track picks up the dialog. The voices. For some reason my PC can't pick up the dialog track, but my phone can play both tracks. Odd occurrence.

JOHN JOHN MAY HAVE BEEN JACKS BOY. BUT I THINK HE WAS MORE LIKE HIS UNCLE JOE THAN HIS DAD JFK.
@hannejeppesen18092 ай бұрын
I don't agree, he was however more of a Kennedy than a Bouvier, although his looks favored his mother. Jack was more independent than Joe, they both wanted to please their father, but Jack took it only so far. Joe Jr. was very competitive and somewhat pigheaded from what I read about him.

I saw this when it first was on TV or perhaps a few years later. I always wanted to see it again, glad it is now on Utube. I also read the book it was based on. Peter Strauss plays a very sympathetic Joe Kennedy Jr. I thin he was somewhat complex, from what I have read about him, he was kind of pigheaded, not as intellectual as Jack, or as independent, wanted to really please his dad. He was in love with the woman. I have to read the book again and see if this movie is true to it.

Joe Jr was never going to be president. He didn't have the vision that Jack did. In every adult experience they had, Jack was more successful. Joe was (like most of us) solid and competent but not extraordinary.
