My nonverbal son at 11 years old lost his leg to osteosarcoma. He is 18 now, and strong and healthy. Still only has one leg, but he doesn't care at all. You don't need 2 legs to be whole! Loved this one XO

I've been watching the Secret Santa episodes for several years now and each and everyone one of them bring tears to my eyes. The ankle joint can sort of function as a knee so they attach the foot to provides the amputee the ability to just use a lower leg prosthesis. Very fascinating medical procedure.
