Young mom with health issues bursts into tears opening gift from a Secret Santa

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season. Every day, from now until Christmas, we will post videos of the recipients being surprised with these life-changing gifts.
Kodi has struggled with many medical mystery health issues for the past seven years. Earlier this year she was fainting at the slightest bit of physical exertion. She’s been to many doctors and has just found one that can hopefully put her on the road of recovery but the treatments are very expensive.
Kodi is a mom of two wonderful kids. She always looks for opportunities to serve others. Her husband works as a police officer and risks his life every day to provide for his family.
They’re also currently remodeling their house and still have a lot of work to do but have had to stop everything because of all the other bills that have piled up. They’re working hard to make ends meet and always keep a positive attitude.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to pay Kodi a visit and bring an early Christmas gift. She was definitely surprised! Watch the video in the player above.

I gave someone $100 once, out of the blue, because he was sitting in a doorway and I went and asked if he was okay, and he looked hungry. Watching him then sprint to the nearby grocery store was an amazing thing :) Even small amounts can make a huge difference to someone.

What a lovely woman… just gushing with gratitude. A worthy recipient. I hope her medical issues aren’t chronic, so she can get back into great health and their family can have a comfortable home to live in. Some of these stories the recipients don’t seem thankful enough. I never make a negative comment as I’m sure they might possibly just be in shock. So it’s fine. And those folks were selected for a reason. So, no judgement. All I’m saying is, as a viewer of these vids, it’s always nice to see when a recipient is so strongly impacted. ❤️

I too wake up each morning during Secret Santa Season looking forward to watching the daily video from EIN. I also read the comments sent from around the world about what SS Season means to so many people and messages of love that are sent to the people that received these blessings. The comments make me just as teary eyed as the videos do. Then I wondered what it was like for people like Kodi and her husband when they read the comments.
