I used to spend my summers at my Grandmothers house in Fox Point which was over 40 years ago. Chomp Hamburger restaurant is actually on the corner of her block. I remember it was a Portuguese grocery store, my mom used to go there all the time. The portuguese bakery is still there. It’s funny how things change but also remain the same.

Thoughts on PVD for young blue collar workers? My wife and I aren’t much for nightlife we’re more Saturday morning people than Friday night types. Appreciate your content, buddy.

There is a lot of blue collar work needed. The point of the video was more on the corporate office type opportunities.

Im 30. Born and raised in RI. Love it here however cost of living and lack of opportunity has my wife and I considering going to the south .

Pretty accurate. I'd say RI isn't tax friendly. Property taxes are one of the highest in the country. Also, I know this is very common but, corrupt politicians are norm here. And keep getting voted in every cycle. Very frustrating. Other than that, I was born and raised in RI, and love the place. But, I definitely won't retire here!

I do maintenance type work and my wife and I are planning on moving to the providence area next year to be closer to family. Is finding that type of work really that much of a challenge there? Appreciate any feedback

Thomas, what kind of maintenance work do you do?

@@AlbertHi mostly general operational maintenance (light plumbing/hvac/electrical) beyond that my experience lies in grounds maintenance. I know these types of jobs are usually needed everywhere to some degree, but is the job market up there that bad?
