@aarkansinghal6633 19 күн бұрын
@@ChristopherBingham-xx8xl I felt inclined to agree with ur second point until u said "chose her over Veronica". Veronica might have started feeling a little something for Georgie towards the end, but like she wasn't making any indication initially that she wanted to do anything romantic with him. Georgie did so much just to be able to talk to her, or ask her out and he kept getting rejected. So what should we expect him to do if Veronica kept saying no to him? On top of that, he met Mandy in Season 5, Episode 11. By that point, he had dropped out of high school and was working at Connie's laundromat/gambling room. Plus he was a senior when he dropped out which means Veronica was gone (she was probably in college).

@@aarkansinghal6633 although she wasn't very smart with the way she went about it, Veronica's last few appearances on the show indicated that she was beginning to have feelings for Georgie. She may have said "Yes" if he tried asking her out again. But yeah, it is largely her fault the way she handled it. We never got any real closure to the Veronica storyline. There was zero indication that she was going to be gone. To this day, there's been zero explanation for why. We don't even know if she COULD go to college. In her first appearance, she said that her sister was a genius just because she graduated high school, which indicates that Veronica didn't think she was going to graduate high school and you can't go to college if you don't graduate high school.

Then yeah, we never really see her again. I thought she went to college considering that and the fact that she's a grade or two above Georgie. those are just the clues I picked up. But yeah I guess we can agree that we can't really blame Georgie for choosing Mandy OVER Veronica.

I don’t believe in pacifiers after about 6 months or so. By then they should be able to learn how to soothe themselves. Continuing to push a pacifier onto a baby makes them feel as though that’s the security they need rather than relying either on their parents or (even at a very young age) on themselves. I had 3 kids. The first one used a pacifier and refused to use it after she found her thumb (which granted took a long time for her to break that habit). The other two had them for a couple months and on their own stopped using them. Neither of them were thumb suckers.
@Mikey_573
@Mikey_573 19 күн бұрын
@@susandunn7207 Yes, every child is different and use of pacifiers should be tailored to each individually. Typically in the very youngest stages though it’s highly recommended to use them and then wean them off as they grow. As I said babies without them CAN develop bad thumb-sucking habits, not always. My dad was actually one of them, he couldn’t stop until near the end of high school.

I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of Jim and Georgie either. Don't get me wrong, they are very good men deep down. But their attitude about marriage is terrible. Jim is giving marital advice to Georgie. I wouldn't want marital advice from Jim. My God! This universe is filled with unhappy marriages.... and yet I'd take marital advice from all of the other husbands in this universe before I'd take marital advice from Jim... except for Teller (who is married to Kathy Bates and they're Amy's parents in this universe. He REALLY isn't allowed to talk to his wife apparently). As for Georgie... he's trying to keep everybody happy. The problem is... that doesn't work. That's what Leonard tried to do. That's what Georgie's father tried to do. The result? The people they were trying to please didn't remain happy for long, while they were frequently unhappy. In the end, you've just got to speak the truth, and if they don't like it, that's their fault.

Mandy and Audrey are terrible people. There's a lot to unpack here: -Back in season 7 episode 4, CC cried all night. Sheldon informed Mandy of this. Mandy responded in a disgusting way and did nothing about it. We don't forget about. What this means is that the only reason Mandy told her mom that CC was crying was to anger her mom. Not caring about your own baby is bad enough, but Mandy uses her baby as a tool to anger her mother. That is absolutely CC's only significance to Mandy, to be used to anger her mom. That's just... unbelievable. -On the other hand, Audrey was ignoring CC's crying. And that's obviously bad enough by itself, but that explains why Mandy was so rude to Sheldon. Mandy was raised to believe that mothers are supposed to ignore their children. This caused Mandy to subconsciously hate any mother who cares about her child and it also subconsciously caused her to hate anyone who suggests that a mother should care about her child. On the other hand, I feel a sense of poetic justice that Audrey responded to Mandy in a similar way that Mandy responded to Sheldon. -"I am her mother and I think I know when she needs me" is a very strange thing to say to your mother when your mother is a jerk. It's insane that Mandy failed to see the irony in saying that to her mother. It's obvious Audrey almost never knew when Mandy needed her. -"You're happy your daughter's crying?" Audrey, are YOU happy that your granddaughter is crying? -"I'm happy you're wrong." How was Audrey wrong? If anything, I think Mandy had just been proven wrong. Audrey's response to "I am her mother and I think I know when she needs me" did absolutely no favors to the logic behind that comment. -Does Audrey really believe that her parenting methods have worked? Her daughter can't get a high-paying job, she can only be a waitress or a sex object. Her daughter got fired from her job as a sex object. Her daughter drives without insurance (which isn't even legal). Her daughter can't keep her own place in a time before The Great Recession and before COVID and all the other things that have killed our modern economy. This doesn't even factor in that her daughter had unprotected sex out of wedlock. Her son has some similarities to Sheldon... only her son doesn't appear to have the bright future that Sheldon has, and I chalk that up largely to the fact that Sheldon has better parents. Maybe Audrey shouldn't be giving advice on parenting. -"Yeah, because I gave her a pacifier." Mandy says that like it's obvious that pacifiers make babies sleep, though I'm pretty sure I have seen awake babies with pacifiers in their mouths. -"Yeah, because you shouldn't say it!" But it's true. And if you can say it, he can say it. You don't get special treatment.

Mandy was up trying to take care of CC when Sheldon came and pointed out that the baby was crying as if Mandy didn’t already know. That’s why she was irritated with him. That’s not the same thing as her mother hearing the baby cry and purposefully ignoring her.

@@kristencouch598 and how was he supposed to know that? Besides, she took his room and her baby was keeping them up, so I think he had A LOT more right to be angry with her than vice-versa.

No he doesnt lol ..he is mature enough to understand that an infant baby might stay up crying all night...and the mother would equally try to make the baby go sleep...sheldon needs to undertstand that...as for sheldon's room, mandy and georgie took their room when sheldon was in germany after tornado...and george and mary did say to sheldon to adjust for sometime...he really needs to learn that...pretty sure everyone else was in that house listening to cece's cries...but they all kept it in cuz they know its a baby...sheldon really needs to learn lol@@ChristopherBingham-xx8xl

Great analysis Christopher! I always enjoy reading your comments. It might be possible for Mandy to legally drive without insurance, as long as she cash deposited to the DMV at least around 35,000 as money to cover accidents, in case they happen. That 35,000 is stored in the dmv to be paid out in case of an accident. Most people don’t do this and it’s highly unlikely Mandy has such a thing, especially considering Mandy has always been tight on money.

I never wanted the binkie when I was a baby, and my parents often have different opinions about things. It's called being human, and even as babies we are all different, and that difference needs to be respected.

Adam and Eve had a baby. No house, no sinks, no diapers, no pacifiers, no crib, no toys. How did they do it. They just did it.

OK, but considering that one of their sons murdered the other, maybe not the greatest example of parenting.
