I genuinely feel like there’s no such thing as “properly”. Every face shape is unique so what works for one person may look awkward on someone else. We should just do whatever style of concealer we feel most accurately accentuates our face shape.

Where you decide to ultimately place it is based on your face shape (I personally wouldn't put concealer by my lips), however regardless of our face shape I think we can all agree not to smear it across our cheekbones like the one on the left. I think that is the main message here.

This is still a NO if you have fine under-eye lines. Only put it on the inner corner of your eye so it doesn’t settle into the fine lines. Smile and watch the skin around your eyes. If the skin moves and causes lines, avoid putting concealer in those areas. Only put concealer where the skin does not move and form fine lines.

Yes actually! There was a trend were you make glasses with the concealer and people put concealer on their eyelids as eyeshadow primer ❤ Btw I’m not a professional but I do my own makeup and watch a lot of makeup videos😊

you can put concealer where ever you want, makeup has no real rules. concealer helps create contrast and hide imperfections, so generally if following the standard, put it anywhere you want to hide, highlight, or drag up. i will warn you, though, putting too much makeup on parts of your face that stick out and catch the light more often can make your makeup look more recognizable and cakey personally i will put concealer on my eyelid a lot to give my eyeshadow a solid base so i get a more vibrant color, cuz i’m too cheap to buy a good eye primer. do whatever you want.
