I was 16 years old and that was the last time I’ve trusted women with money. She also almost sank the family financially until my father took control of the finances back after he made the mistake of trusting her with it. She lied to him about paying down his back taxes each month as he kept a log. When he thought he was done, he still owed. It wasn’t a good moment. Never trust women with money.

In a dating forum I contributed to a decade or more ago, there was a conversation that degenerated, as usual, into the whole "men are only dating for sex, and women are only dating for free food" routine, where men and women alike seemed to be reaching a consensus that their entire romantic world revolved around a transactional relationship of buying and selling sex, and I spoke up and said "I'm not into dating to buy sex, if that's what I wanted, I could get it cheaper through other means, or even for free. In fact, I can hire someone to have dinner with me, or keep me company, or spend my money, or do pretty much anything, except one thing: I can't buy loyalty, someone who will be there for me when things are tough. THAT is what I'm dating for. THAT is what i want. It's not the only thing: I have a minimum standard of how good she should look, it's an aesthetic and social thing really, I'm human and the opinions of my peers regarding whoever I date and marry mean something, but it's the loyalty that I'm really wanting in the end. And I expect much the same thing from the women I date: that they would expect me to be there when times are tough, with a minimum standard I'm expected to meet for being able to support a family financially, without embarrassing her in front of her friends and family, which seems fair enough to me. So, there are lots of women who are just selling sex, apparently, but is anyone selling loyalty instead?" The reaction was damned weird, to me: men seemed to find it an alien concept compared to sleeping with as many women as possible, or at least claimed to, while women seemed to find it thoroughly offputting that anyone should expect loyalty from them. At the end of the day, they decided it was best to ignore me, and go back to arguing about how dating should be all about buying sex, and how evil men were for wanting to get sex out of that arrangement, and how evil women were for expecting to get paid for sex in that arrangement. I guess they get whatever they deserve out of that sort of relationship. It's mercenary, they aren't happy, but it's what they wanted and what they get. And I just wrote off my chances of ever actually meeting and marrying a woman who was into exchanging loyalty. I'm single today, financially stable, no children or child support, no alimony, no string of exes to complain about, and a number of mostly good dates with people who I wasn't interested in spending the rest of my life with, and vice-versa. I kind of wanted a nice family of my own, a good wife and kids to inherit my name, but I have no complaints beyond that, really. And I guess I'd like to think I got whatever I deserve, and maybe it's even better than I deserve - it's pretty good, all things considered. Anyway, the sort of loyalty that has someone sticking around with you "for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health", is kind of an outdated concept. The younger generations in particular seem to have settled in on a very mercenary, transactional view of dating and marriage that is basically built on a model of keeping a high-class mistress for as long as she can be afforded. Anything else, including loyalty, is weird and unnatural to them. I can't see that transactional model of dating as a foundation for anything of lasting value, but that is how it seems to be now.

Sitting down with a modern millenial woman to do a budget assessment is an absolutely eye opening experience. If any of you guys have sisters or female friends who seem to indiscriminately buy stuff online or at stores on a regular basis, ask them to see if they can figure out how much of their money they spent on nonessentials. It's an insane amount of their total income When I worked as a trainer I was constantly told by young women (especially single moms) that they simply could not afford to eat the diet I suggested, despite it being around 1800 calories of food daily. The breakdown of their finances to see what they could do to afford the lifestyle changes usually revealed that spent 3 to 4 times more on non essentials than they did groceries. Clothes, impulse amazon buys, buying food at restaurants, unnecessary subscriptions, Spas, Salons, etc. These women were making 60k+ on average (usually more if they could afford a trainer) and they were spending easily over a thousand bucks a month on complete nonsense. They were dumbfounded that I spent $600 a month on bulk groceries but thought it was completely normal to burn $8 a day at Starbucks and $500 a month on clothes/online shopping (when they already have so much clothes they have to routinely give away garbage bags full of stuff from walk in closets). I once dated a nurse who spent hundreds a month at Sephora ....*shakes head in disgust*

After we strike up a rapport and it is clear they have genuine desire, I will progress from free afternoons at an art museum and a quick lunch to full evenings out at the orchestra. But I don't buy a woman anything until I can clearly read that she has desire. I've had some women offer motel rooms as the first date, not even after the first date but as the actual date. When they want you they want you. You can't wine and dine them into having raw desire. If they don't have it they won't get it from evenings out. I'm not an American anymore, but I remember when I was in college I wrote a hypothetical paper about only being able to vote if you paid taxes/are actively contributing to society. there was a lot to it, but that was the main point. I only remember writing it because the "professor" wrote on the bottom of the paper which he showed to all 100 or so of the other students: "This is horribly disgusting" I laughed thinking, You asked us to write this kind of crap, and if you think so, then prove it with logic not through whatever pathetic emotional attack/appeal this is.
@jonashellsborn76482 жыл бұрын
Interesting. That was the state in Europe 100+ years ago. Before the male vote. They had to justify the new fangled conscription with these modern liberal voting laws and slogans like "one man one rifle one vote". Some 30 years ago our local rightwing youth suggested "voting points proportional to income", for reasons like you suggest. Sad your paper couldn't be disproved by logic, just ad hominem. The guy writing a paper on a private federal company, some kind of a "federal express", was also turned down.
@Violent_Wolfen2 жыл бұрын
Main flaw with that paper I can already see was that was already done. It was to keep black people from voting and they weren't allowed to own property or participate in society and when they did their businesses were destroyed. It's funny because you classmates had to look at just that part of U.S. history alone to pick it apart and they didn't even try.

The Irony is that was the old perception of democracy in ancient athens, only those who contributed (i.e. worked had jobs or powerful positions) to the society could vote. As much as I support your thought it would probably only hit those the most that arent leeching off society. Those that leech have by now established a network of lawyers etc. to circumvent any repercussion against their leeching. The problem is there is no real solution to it without letting it turn into an Oligarchy over time. You´d have to make so many exceptions for example pensioners who paid/worked into the system, then for housewifes who brought up the children, those who effectively couldnt work anymore but are "working" at some caritative institution handing out food etc. As we all know our lawmakers they have no idea of the laws they are writing so it will make the situation worse than before and just you wait for the leftist media outcry if such a reform would take place.

I suppose that our culture would think a man in his late '50s would get a good deal with a marriage to a woman in her early 40s, but certainly not me, as I am simply not attracted to women that old. If I got the chance to have a relationship with a decent woman in her 20s, and we built years and years of good life experiences together, it would be a different story once she reached her 40s. Not a woman that I met when she was already in her 40s, however. But I know that a man that age expecting to get a relationship with a woman in her 20s as they are in this era is also not realistic, so for some of us "going our own way" is the best option.

A couple have still tried to talk me into going for lunch, after telling them I was happily married. All of the talk about the 6'-0", 6" and 6-figures. Just go to college, and it doesn't matter your major or what you do, you'll cruise through that middle class life. In my personal experience, high school is where the teachers' curriculums heavily reflected a preparedness for college (that was a district decision), but some high school teachers were the first teachers I encountered that would tell you that college isn't for everyone, and that was ok. I remember, I had a math teacher, who, for the last page of the semester final my senior year, made a page of hard facts about college. The whole semester, everyone was talking about where they were going to college. His little information sheet was the cold hard truth about college cost (in state, out of state, community college) and graduation rates. One figure that I remember, was where he pointed out that only 30% of people who go to college will actually get a degree, and that cost was the number 1 reason for dropping out.

Agreed. This is why channels like this are necesary even if they get a little repetitive. We need to create a culture of men who laugh at other men and visibly lose respect for them when they simp for poor quality women. Generally I don't like shaming tactics, but if a man is still simping this far into the 21st century I assume he only responds to fem-typical communication strategies so disrespect from men (which will be echoed by women who will see him as low status if he loses respect from his male piers) may be the only way to communicate that what he's doing isn't as cool as he feels it is. I mean if they can be reasoned with that's 100x preferable, but if they're too convinced that what they're doing is noble then we need a cultural shift to make them feel that it's not.

Most whamen can't be saved/helped, as they don't want to save/help themselves by accepting other people's knowledge (especially men's), and of course, will take everyone else with them in their descent to the abiss. Our best chance would be to promote more insanity in whamen and waking up all the men we can at the same time, to the point where they get desperate enough that they will do whatever we want them to, effectively using the descent's momentum to slingshot back up (here is where we repell the 19th then we rebound), and after that, you can start rebuilding. My sister at 18 decided she wanted to travel round Australia for six months, her only income and job was a part time waitress job that she had been doing for a few months. I was 16 at the time and raised the issue with my father of how she would afford it, he promptly slapped me round the face and said “don’t bad mouth your sister, she is paying for her travels from money she saved working”. When she returned from Australia letters started arriving from debt collectors and it turned out she had paid for the trip on credit cards to the sum of £10,000, she claimed she didn’t understand that she would have to pay the money back. My father cleared the debts, using all his savings to do so.

Even though she lived at the family home rent free until he died and I had moved out and paid rent for 15 years I was left nothing in his will, she got the house plus £30,000 in cash, plus all the physical asserts in the house. Within a year of his death my sister decide she wanted a new back garden, it didn’t need doing but she wanted it levelled and a new patio to sunbathe on, she paid a crooked builder £11,000 for the work and he started it but left it unfinished and took the money. She decided to take him to court, though I advised her not to as taking a ltd company to court is pointless as even if you win you’ll never see the money or court costs as the owner can dissolve the company and transfer any asserts. She said I was a coward and it wasn’t about the money but the principal. She won the case and the builder was told to pay her £40,000 plus another £40,000 for her legal fees, he never paid a penny to her. After getting the work done properly and her legal bill the total cost was £90,000. She had to remortgage the house to cover those costs.

Some of my friends were among the above average - good looking variety, over the years I've seen most of them switching girlfriends like socks. The girls in our area / friends circle were pretty decent looking gals too for the most part, I've seen them with new boyfriends pretty much every couple of months, up to a year at most. Starting from the age of around 12. By the time most of those chicks hit their 20's they've already had bodycounts of 10+, and that's just the dudes I've actually noticed and seen them with. And mind you....that was like over 25 years ago where smartphones, social media, dating apps and all that shit didn't even exist yet AND in a relatively calm quiet rural area with a small selection pool to begin with. I don't even want to imagine how things are nowadays in that age bracket.

I’m at 100 and I still feel like I’m falling behind. I suck at budgeting but my rule is 25% no matter what gets saved and the rest is mine to blow.

Depends on where you live. I moved to Boston for a significant career opportunity and pay raise but the cost of living here effectively nulified my pay increase.

This day and age, its hard to believe some people believe money grows on trees. Really.

Well, it does. Quantitative easing, aka money printing by the central bank.

Lol! Totally delusional! Unless they're a banker, in which case they don't even need a tree these days.

almost every woman I know has a closet full of clothes and accessories that they have spent at least a grand on and have only worn once. almost every dude I know has about 3 t shirts he wears every day and 1 formal suit and a few business casual clothes, but dear god we spend money on anything that is not for a job we are being irresponsible.

Lol I hear that. I would get grilled for buying a pillow on Amazon. "When are you gonna give some of that money to me?" Meanwhile she sold her house and pissed the entirety of it away in less than a year.

one of the things that always makes me laugh is the idea that you need to make 100k/year to live well. like if you're dating someone and you're making $70k/year and she's making $60k/year, between the two of you you shouldnt really have any financial issues. you'll be able to afford pretty much everything you want short of a mansion and sports cars. still though, i always laugh when woman say you have to earn 6 figures to be worthy of them, but when they find out what the people earning that kind of money do, they generally dont want anything to do with them. i remember asking a girl out that worked at starbucks. i thought she was cute and had seen her a few times so i just asked her if shed like to get some dinner sometime, my treat. first thing she asked me was what do i do. i told her i was a reactor operator at a chemical plant. she then turned me down... which is hilarious because im in the top 10% of incomes of my area (i easily earn 3x what she makes). but see that's the thing, woman dont want guys earning 6 figures if they have to get their hands dirty. they want the office worker that earns 100k/year (LOL)

If a guy made $500K annually he could have almost ALL of those girls. At once.

The real problem with the last few minutes of this video IMO is that if you're 40 and dating a 20 year old, in 9 out of 10 times she sees you as a walking wallet, not someone she get's reall into. I don't know who said it, but if you are not the guy she makes exceptions for, she's not all that into you. And that's what you can't get when dating 20 years younger, or at least I think so in my humble age of 26.

I’m 41 and I wouldn’t touch women my age. Yes young women love only money. I’m a monk.
@TheSniperMAJOR2 жыл бұрын
@@Filthy_Larry They don't love actually money. Why else would some really hot 20 yo go home with a guy her age and let him have at it for free. It's looks and game, I think maximising those two will get someone a lot of sex, but no relationships. And that is literally the best a man can hope for today.

So what, old women in their mid twenties and older are un datable in monogamy so if i gotta pay then its better than nothing

@@bobbob-zc1nx I don't understand what you're trying to say in the second part (fix grammar please); but yes, men need to set their standards higher and not go just for any women who will settle. Don't go with women who settle, better yourself so women think / know that you settle for her.
