Nas was on another level at that time. Literally changed the landscape of Hip Hop at the time with Illmatic. A lot of acts and styles became obsolete after Nas dropped his debut album. Pras did an interview with Vlad saying that the success of Nas made The Fugees go in a different direction for their second album The Score.

Do any damn song that Nas made! Nas lyrics has been and always will be on point. Some of the producers shitted on him with the beats but his lyrics to any of his songs or anyone else’s song hits hard as shit. He is the G.O.A.T, the general, The Godson! Only cat that can truly compare to him is Biggie. PAC was a beast but come on now, really! Here’s some examples: No idea’s original, Projects windows, Book of rhymes, The Message, The Cross, Purple, Represent, Doo rags, Take it in blood, Nas is Like, One Love, One Mic, You’re Da man, Last real nigga alive, Memory Lane, Life is what you make it, Favor for a favor, Self conscious, Shootouts, Made you look, Destroy and Rebuild, Undying love, Fetus, Blaze a 50, Come Get me. Shall I continue!!!
