If you do decide to go back, one big tip is to keep a level head and stay calm. The ghost when it’s hunting has to actually see you so, as an example from a recent Professional difficulty ghost hunt I did, the thing was in a hallway on the first floor, and there was a small closet in that hallway as well as a kitchen at the end. If I hid behind the door in the closet or on the opposite side of the kitchen in the corner with the Fridge blocking it’s view of me, I could prevent it finding and killing me until the hunt ended. Another tip, when the ghost starts hunting, never try to run out the door because it will ALWAYS lock the doors to the outside

My problem with horror is not the content itself, rather the fear after its over, where I think about things that want to kill me for no reason where I can't stop them, when I'm in a dark room or trying to fall asleep. I mean part of the way I got over that fear generally is that I simply accepted that if I ever face a ghost I am dead and there is no real way I can avoid it, if it really comes for me, so there is no point to fear, it's like having terminal illness, death doesn't scare you because you can't do anything about it. But still I don't enjoy horror (unless it's those how to beat videos etc).

Phasmophobia is super fun with many people, but even I, Lord of Darkness and father of Death, get scared by the prospect of exploring haunted houses in this game. I am not scared of the ghosts, but of the darkness and silence. Which, yes, it is ironic considering that I am the embodiment of Darkness... Fear works in weird ways... But to those who want to know the real reason, I am Nyctophobic, because of several traumatizing events that occurred in utter darkness for me. Including me getting run over by a stag in the pitch black night of winter, getting locked up in the cellar for 4 hours during a thunderstorm with no working electricity and escaping a massive wildfire in the middle of a cold, dry November night when I was still 3. And those are just the biggest once I can recall from the top of my head.

I really don't understand why people are so terrified of this game. it's only slightly scary during the first few games and then you just know what's going to happen and what to do (and I don't play horror games).
