I’m 46 so I was very young in the 80s but someone much younger than me introduced me to these guys and I gotta say this music is so powerful to me that it makes me cry. It sneaks up on me and reminds me of a time when life was simpler and when you were young you had a lot of responsibilities so it meant a lot to get together with friends and blow off steam. Not like now where errbody stares at a phone all day. We had pressure on us just like young people nowadays but we had better options for having fun and we had more freedom back then. Older people say the 80s sucked but for me it was the best time to be alive, all the best movies, music, and people didn’t hate America back then.

If you lived in the 80s and 90s you know it wasn’t like this video. We had troubles and hardships like we all do now. HOWEVER, it was much different. We had ways and most importantly, people to help us through these times. we would do crazy things to blow steam off with our friends and we wouldn’t get in trouble. I don’t know why people don’t do that anymore. Why do we just sit around and complain. Back then we would try to escape the world. This is what is so magical about this video. The effort to escape with someone who understands you.

Sunset [Intro] I could see, like, I've been stuck here my whole life There must be something else out there, waiting, you know? Just for us We could run away Just leave... Never look back I don't even care where we go Just far away from here I'll come with you [Verse 1] Faked our deaths Lit a match Closed the door Waited for the flash Greyhound Station, we paid in cash Miss Lazarus, we’re coming back [Pre-Chorus] They say it's darkest before the dawn We've been in this town for far too long They say it's darkest before the dawn We're moving on, we're moving on, we're moving [Chorus] Sunset, no regrets First chance last dance Stuck in the middle Even bad girls know good love You taste so sweet it hurts a little [Verse 2] Make our home where we stand One suitcase And half a plan Follow the wolves And sing along Past the voices To the Song [Pre-Chorus] They say it's darkest before the dawn We've been in this town for far too long They say it's darkest before the dawn We're moving on, we're moving on, we're moving [Chorus] Sunsets, no regrets First chance, last dance, stuck in the middle Even I've got it, not gonna lie You taste so sweet it hurts a little [Bridge] [Chorus] Sunsets, no regrets First chance, last dance, stuck in the middle Even I've got it, not gonna lie You taste so sweet it hurts a little....

These 2 look so in the moment in this scene. I mean its a time where life has not become a race. Nobody is trying to get ahead of anyone, nobody is worried about their virtual images, nobody worried about likes or followers. These 2 look teenegers. Probably they would parted their ways after some time. But right in this moment they were actually living. Not expecting a lot from life. I mean I would have been frustrated for being there , doing that job, instead of doing something that I can post on Instagram. These times have made us fight to be successful and to win at something, instead of winning at living. Videos like these remind me what I am missing. I was not even born when this movie came out and I still feel nostalgic about something while watching this. So beautiful.

The fact that you are missing a time you didn't even live means that you are safe from the worst part of the "social generation" people. Keep on looking for REAL RELATIONSHIPS, keep on expecting REAL MEETINGS with people. Social media, messages, hide the REAL PART of the people, the eyes, the breath, the body language... Do always ask for a date, don't be shy, it's your right, don't keep on texting somebody for months, it's not fair talking behind a screen avoiding showing ourselves for what we really are: HUMAN BEINGS. Let's turn the example of this video into reality: a glance, a smile, a dance... Let's claim this, 'cause this is our REAL nature, not the screens. Take care!! :)

Ahhhh - the 80's. A decade where literally anything went and anything was possible. The films were awesome and the birth of blockbuster action hero movies as we know them, were born. Romantic comedies were crazy . Music was absolutely stellar and the fashion was questionable :) Early 80's, I was in my early 20's and in the prime of my life in a lot of ways. Seems like a very distant memory now. Seeing films from that time period where there were no mobile phones seems so crazy. No internet and I dunno, there just seemed to be a different vibe back then. What the hell happened?

Wish we could go back to where we had some technology to make life easier where it mattered but not so much tech to where it took over our lives and where you actually had to physically meet people face to face and find pleasure in the simpler things. You had to actually make the effort and take the time to call or write somebody. It was simpler and pure in all the right ways without making life too inconvenient or uncomfortable

@@jsweetsgetsfitjoeysweet330 My dude, he was talking about the music IN CONJUNCTION with the video. The music clearly has an 80's feel to it. While yes, the movie came out in 91, the "feel" of it was more in line with the 80's. The music just accentuates that homie

cairo bohol I’d argue humanity happened. Technology is just the vice they chose. @@pizzapizza3548 I was born in '71 .... so the 80s were my teenage years (same age as the people in this clip). There will never be a time like the 80s, ever...... no social media then that causes such a false connection with people and why people feel so lost and lonely now ... many full of inner rage, some consumed by depression and isolation, millions of others lost in the ocean of 'nothingness'. You had to really work to really achieve something. Nothing was 'instant' .... everything required persistence, commitment, courage and a huge sense of responsibility ..... which gave everything you did a profound sense of value. We were connected back then, genuinely. That was my experience .... things were magical, hopeful, exciting, heart-centred, simple, polite, respectful .... and so so profound for our souls. And this is why everyone yearns to go back to that era (if they lived during those times like i did) before the disease of 'social media' came along .... and made us all live in this sad, false, unfeeling reality ... where millions of people are chasing something outside of their selves .... to fill the void. Everyone lives behind a keyboard and screen now. Its sad. And as humans, we become sicker and sicker because of it. This music and video clip moves people because it taps into the true essence of who we truly are as people. The yearning for deep, powerful, undying, loyal, symbiotic connection to people ... and the ability to experience trust, empathy, physical touch, feelings, honesty, love, fulfilment, hope ..... and thus profound, profound soul growth and advancement in this world in the truest sense of the word. People back in the 80s felt like they were enough. Now, the current generation feels like they are not enough, and so require influencers and everything and anything outside of themselves to build an identity .... when in reality they dont realise it is an inside job ... and they are so far, far, far away from ever achieving that. When people do the deep inner work they are called to do in this lifetime, then they will experience the emotions and feeling and moment in time, that is depicted in this music and in this clip.
