I appreciate your sharing about the readers "assuming" something. I almost feel like we need to add things in our books or online like "These books are fiction. Just like I write about murderers, I'm not one, there are things in my fiction which are different than my mindset/life." And so on. For instance in my books, I share about characters eating a steak yet I don't eat any meat. Also, thanks for sharing about your research. I would recommend the next book you check out the Copper Scrolls in Jordan if and when the world settles down.

Thanks, it is strange how much people assume fiction reflects our own real life!

Marketing is the forever leg of being an author and shouldn't be discounted. Maybe after a branding consultation or course work, authors could work together in groups often to share how they are marketing and even work on it together because it seems like you need a marketing team so why not enlist other authors? Insightful interview. I plan to write in multiple genre's so this has been helpful.

Hello Joanna, finally back with watching Creative Penn and the great info you provide. How can I find a great editor I can trust, whether it is someone you know, or someone you can recommend for me. Thanks.
