Sometimes, he brushes just to brush cause nothing is coming off. Like I miss the old kinda dirty shoes where he would knife the dirt/leather away and it would actually transform but he doesn't do those shoes anymore. His videos are too predictable now.

Burns stray fibers? I think he also uses it to heat/melt shoe polish and flash off volatiles sometimes.

In leather working it’s used to burn off the ends of threads so they don’t fray loose.

Angelo made his name and channel doing polishing and shining of rough looking shoes. That is how he sets himself apart. Anybody can shine new shoes! Angelo takes scuffed up shoes and makes them look like new. It is why I came here.
