Me too. At least 12 years Major Depressive Disorder with suicidal ideation medicated lowered to mild depression no meds. After 3-4 days on Lion diet I felt brain fog lifting-thinking faster, clearer. My Psychiatrist and I planned at the start of the 4th week to wean off my antidepressants over the following 2 weeks. Had tried 2 times unsuccessfully before and failed, this time it worked. Still have chronic pain (lucky to be alive after 8.5m fall to road in 2012) hence mild depression. Lion for 3 months then Carnivore. Reversed several metabolic diseases. Was 156kg, now 88kg. Quality of life has improved out of sight. Strict Lion is incredibly powerful. The transition was difficult at first and hence I don’t recommend anyone do it this way unless you are in a very bad way, rather change over one meal (the same meal time) each month until done. It’s much kinder to the body, especially if you are working. Now I’m one meal a day and I’m never hungry. Thanks Dr Chaffee.❤

@@savco3908 yes, you are so right. Thank you and also to all the others, thank you for your sympathies. It still hurts even after more than 40 years. He was an inspiration. Thankfully I’ve found the benefits of a ketogenic diet. Just wish I had known this as a kid. I always knew junk food was no good for you, but no one explained in depth why and how highly addictive carbs are. I was eating 5-6 times a day! Now on carnivore only once a day. I’m never hungry and I’m much more relaxed. All the BS about “healthy food”, when it’s the complete opposite. It’s got to be deliberate, and not just profit driven as I’m convinced with the immigration levels in both the US and Australia at obscene proportions (and in the US unvetted immigration), there has to be a plan to collapse the west. Anyway, enough of a rant. We have to make the best of what we have got. Life is very short. As Suspicious Observers YT channel says in the outtro, “Eyes open, no fear” “Be safe everybody”.

Ps I have 2 friends (both older males) who have not been diagnosed Autistic but obviously are. They are both super smart & retain an enormous amount of knowledge without even trying to. One of them has 2 daughters, one of which is undiagnosed Autistic and the other undiagnosed ADHD. They have all done well in life and IMO, had they been diagnosed they would have been channeled through the “disabled …. No need to work” model. We need more Autistic people in our workforce, as they are brilliant technical trades people, by the very nature of Autism. I’d rather fly in a plane that was repaired by an Autistic tradesperson, than by an elderly tradesperson who can’t retire because there’s no one coming through to replace them.

Autism is a spectrum. I work with older children on this spectrum and honestly, I'd rather there were fewer children with autism than more. Not all are as high-functioning as you describe. With many, their condition may prevent them from ever holding any job outside an assisted one. And, while some can form families of their own and live successful lives, others will never achieve full, safe independence and may end up homeless or worse unless their families support them for life. Not throwing any shade at them, I have a lot of respect and love for them and their families, but after witnessing dozens and dozens of melt-downs and the pain their whole families go through to support them, I definitely wouldn't want an increase in incidence.

Allow me to share my Carnivore experience and struggles: I have been eating meat and eggs for more tha 8 months.(Red meat most of the time. Cut= Chuck steak) I am a healthy individual with no chronic diseases. I started the carnivore diet to lose body fat without being hungry or starving myself.(body recomposition + satiaty) I am 180cms tall, 185 lbs, and +--22% BF. I have not lost any body fat in the last almost 4 months.(My goal is to be 15%BFor less, what would require me to lose at least 15lbs of fat) I eat 500-600g of meat COCKED (usually read meat/Chuck steak. Sometimes i eat chicken) and 6-7 eggs. I also do strength training 2-3 times a week to help lose body fat and maintain muscle mass. Weirdly or not, i also have not experience most of the Carnivore diets benefits so famous in the Carnivore community, such as Boost in energy levels, Better sleep and etc. Allow me to ask some question about the Carnivore diet: 1- What adjustments do I need to make to lose body fat on a carnivore diet, without being hungry? 2- Should I use the CICO model if I can't lose body fat on a carnivore diet? (should i start counting my calories to lose bodyfat?) 3- How long should it take to evaluate the carnivore diet (I've had poor results so far and i am starting to consider to quit) 4- How do I calculate how much fat and protein (even calories) I should eat on a carnivore diet to lose body fat without, being hunry or starving myself? 5- Is it a problem to eat leaner cuts of meat? PS: I am Brazilian and english is not my first language. Sorry for any mistakes. Thank you!.

All meats including eggs get dissolved by your stomach acid it wont even reach your colon, your stomach acid has a ph of 1.5 which is about the same level of the vultures that eat carrion in the wild. Its also a bit more acidic then most predators in the wild and thats for a reason, we are evolved to eat meats, our brains are the result of meats and fats, our defenses is in our ability to think, communicate, create tools, and use tactics. Why we are apex predators, i bit off on a tangent there but in the wild you would eat most foods raw, nothing wrong with raw as long as there is safe handling of it, it will digest and absorb unlike plants which will just pass through.

You might be surprised at how much fat there actually is in chicken breast. I dehydrate chicken breast for both my dog and myself and it intensifies the flavour [great] but the amount of fat that ends up in the tray below is quite amazing. That fat really tastes great too. By the way, if you dry the chicken until crispy, crush it into a powder and add it to salt you get a real chicken salt that adds heaps of flavour to just about anything but is perfect on eggs. Try it!

That’s literally their purpose. They wouldn’t have life if we didn’t eat them. They get fed, sheltered and can roam and eat and sometimes copulate. What else makes a full life? Dying old isn’t all that. Something always must die for you to eat. Agriculture kills more animals that anything. Growing cows is much more beneficial for the land.

As a 69 year old woman, I have realized that the carnivore diet has great results for men especially in terms of weight loss. I understand that estrogen plays a part in storing fat in women. I have diligently stuck with carnivore for over 5 months and I have NOT lost a pound. I also realize that doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is insanity. I haven’t had the same results so many claim, so I recognize that this is not a one size fits all so I will have to change things up. Very discouraging

Many carnivores don't realize that carnivore does not necessarily equal ketosis, and some of us _must_ be in ketosis to lose weight. You may be in this group. Also, keep in mind that for some, fat ratio requirements can be _very_ high. If you're interested, buy a blood ketone metre for accuracy (not urine strips or a breath metre). All the best 👍
