I can't explain some things that I saw when I blasted off on DMT in 2017. I saw colors that I've never experienced on earth. They didn't even look a possible shade of other colors that we have on earth, they were completely different. There's part of my trip that I clearly remember being like, there's no way that my brain could even make up these things because it was so wild. I thought I had died. I even accepted it and the "beings" showed me the place where we got reincarnated and I was like "oh yeah, now I remember, I've been here thousands of times before, how could I forget? Duh"

My friends dog didn't howl the first 2 times me and my friend were doing DMT in the garage with him near by but the 3rd time I broke through DEEP and he started howling and all I kept feeling (not hearing) told to me was "we love you" over and over again. Not true. According to mri scans of people while tripping, brain activity is actually DECREASED while we are tripping, we are actually processing information at a lower level. This is because of the psychedelic effect known as synesthesia (merging of the five senses). The physical world we exist in is one interpreted by our brains after perceiving the world and achieving homeostasis. When we are babies, we have synesthesia, and our brains eventually take in information of the outside world, and eventually our brains find homeo stasis. In other words, psychedelics allow us to see the world for what it truly is, and so the hallucinations and profound experiences we have are more likely gateways into other worlds.

i disagree. i've been doing psychs "hardcore" for 2 years. on lsd 70% of my waking life. my tolerance completely resets every 2-4 days instead of 2-4 weeks. even after doses of 2000ug + i can trip 2 days later on 200-400ug. on top of that i trip on dmt multiple times a week. and have had a variety of experiences on heroic doses of shrooms. psychedelics truly are a mind expansion tool and it's all about how much you can handle. i've never had a bad trip, nor do i believe i can. along with that, I have never had a ego death on anything but 5-MeO. unless you're referring to the enhanced creativity you get from constantly stimulating the mind, there is no "magical thinking." and if you have a clean and healthy mindset there's no point in waiting. i've seen people have a "bad trip" and seen people get "disconnected from reality," but i have also met people like me who utilize these "drugs" for self improvement. imo any bad experience you have on a psychedelic is nothing more than a negative mindset or insecurity being amplified within that person, and with the right mindset you would be able to correct that biological error and continue your psychedelic journey. psychedelics are not a drug to be used recreationally. not all the time. it's okay to have fun, but it's important to remember that they are a tool for growth and expansion of consciousness. they show you things that you aren't able to see normally. feel things you wouldn't normally be able feel. some people can tolerate it. others can't. you can't prescribe any specific way of using psychs. it's like making everyone in the world to eat the same amount of food. for some it'd be the perfect amount. for others it's be wayyy too much. and for some it wouldn't be enough.

I tried hallucinogens a few times when I was younger, and to this day at 36 yo I’m ashamed to admit (ashamed BECAUSE they’re drugs) that they were the absolute most profound experiences of my life that changed me for the better. Depending on who you are and what you need to process, they can change your life. So the value of the brain is that it shows you the fluidity of consciousness. That's one of the key values, just the fact that you get to change states and change into very radically different states. That's a huge eye-opening experience. Massive oversimplification of history. I think materialism doesn’t capture the full picture but it is incredibly useful. And materialism is not able to explain the effects of DMT very well, but it also isn’t able to explain the effects of regular unaltered consciousness very well, and this is just because of epiphenomenalism - your brain does brain things following the laws of physics and consciousness is a side effect that doesn’t have causal power over the physical world. @@featyunglean Im not trying to be rude by any means but while im not sure what level of experience you have with psychs (its not a competition and im not trying to sound superior) let alone DMT, but its in an entirely different hemisphere in terms of effect when compared to what people commonly use recreationally such as LSD/shrooms. But nonetheless, I agree with you on the basis that the anxiety can be linked to predispositions related to schizophrenia and the likelihood of a mental break. However, on the same token, it is rare in the psych community (i hate saying “psych community smh) that no one feels anything less than even a little anxiety be that before, or after a breakthrough. Furthermore, its normal to feel schizophrenic at least with DMT as the substance itself legitimately induces profound hallucinations that feel judt as real as reality itself. That loss of reality and forced subconscious submission to altered sense of realities produced byt hallucination/delusion is the basis of schizophrenia. I can say personally with extensive experience between shrooms and DMT, I have NEVER gone into a trip without feeling anxious to some capacity. Hell. DMT to this day still terrifies me despite my experience with it. Regarding strictly DMT, ive had a full psychotic episode after a breakthrough that lasted 20-30 mins and yet I have no relatives with mental illnesses of any sort and am perfectly fine today. DMT is scary in and of itself due to its dissolution of reality. Anyone not at least a little scared of it regardless of their experience is a fool.

@@featyunglean i kinda went on a tangent there but strictly addressing your comment, my reply was in regards to what OP described and that being consistent with the experiences of those who use vapes as the primary vessel/route of administration as apposed to smoking it. If you think about it, DMT is like jet fuel in a car. Meaning in other words its essentially a molecule that sends your brain into absolute overdrive and until it reaches cruising altitude/speed, the engines (your brain, consciousness, senses) are pushed and stressed to the max as they recognize such an abrupt change in trajectory (homeostasis/order of the consciousness) and in turn, the warning lights siren to alert the crew (you). To get past this, you need to apply more thrust to break through the atmosphere or just abort mission. With vapes this is more often than not the case depending on how it was made/mixed and prepared.

I like the thought and I even considered this but dont necessarily believe thats the case. I sya that as I primarily wondered what a blind person (100% blind not just legally) born without any sight at all would see on their trip and given that DMT trip reports all share such profound similarities I think it would be no different for some one who is blind. My theory(s) are two fold. 1. Its entirely possible that we indeed possess the ability to interact with alternate worlds/dimensions of consciousness and DMT is the catalyst or portkey for that. But I dont entirely believe that as it doesnt explain why we connect with different entities. 2. My other theory is a bit simpler in that DMT works on parts of your brain such as cranial nerves for vision and those that interpret and process our perception reality. Though we are blasted off in a trip, i believe DMT is putting your mind in straight overdrive and as a result, forced to the deepest most primitive processes of the mind. Similar to that of breathing. We do it daily without a thought and even when asleep, but, once you remove the blinders that make you conscious to the process you are aware and can voluntarily control it. That same concept when applied to consciousness is the same. By that I mean DMT removes the veil that shrouds the barriers to out deep primal subconscious and we are able to view them raw and void of inhibition. In other words. We see the world through eyes and then those images are processed and compressed into an understandable code by out subconscious. Now. If you remove the “process and compression” aspect of perception. You are left with just subconscious.

As a hardcore skeptic myself, its truly an ineffable experience. You cant put the experience into language. Its not just something you see or think, you really have to experience it to understand. Breakthrough doses are in my opinion breakthroughs beyond the doors of perception into something else. We can only detect changes through fMRIs and scans but that tells us very little. Our brains can also be scanned through war, but it says nothing about what is actually going on, what it being experienced and where that experience is. Crazy story, but years ago when I was in the army I was deployed and it was just boring af nothing to do so everyday at night before I went to sleep I would meditate, and I got so good to the point where I was astral projecting almost everyday like I was walking around the whole base at times and it was kinda scary tbh and I also got deep into researching on psychedelics, when I came back from deployment I got some acid from my plug and had the craziest trip ever, I was seeing pyramids and stuff and everything in the room from the music to the tv to listening to a podcast synced together and it was the craziest coolest thing ever , fast forward from that moment and it was during Covid and still in the army and I didn’t have to come into work at that time and once again I hit up my plug and got some acid but I told myself I was going stop after that and took a heroic dose of acid , and boy I thought I literally died and I could tell something was off like my anxiety was so high and once it hit I had like zero control of my body and tbh I looked it up and I think some type of spirit or demon latched onto me and was like possessing me tbh after that I never messed with psychs and that was around the same time I was going to do dmt but I think that acid trip in some way saved me from a worse experience on dmt, sorry for the long story

Treating the psychedelic world as a mental construct means you don't get to experience 99.999999999999% of human experience.
