So you've got your SciAps Z902 and you're looking to take your first readings. Can use for High temperature material

It depends how high of temperature. In general, all handheld metal analyzers are built to survive room temperature.

Hi I have the LIBS Z-903 I need some help understanding where either on the instrument or on the computer software how to change the “x, y, and z” of the grid beyond just the raster positions field. Such as if I would like to create a 3x3 square where do I create this setting?

Can you please show me how you cab correct the reading .in Block certificate Cr showes 16 but actual value is 22 , how I can correct it.

If you are using a Z-Series handheld LIBS unit you likely need to perform drift correction. See this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bavRgY1sjdppiMk The second thing you can do is work on the cal factors for the instrument. This will come in a future video. For now, try the drift correction and see if that resolves your issue. If you're still seeing variation, you may need to take multiple readings and average them.

Can you show how large the arc strike is?

The laser that strikes the surface makes a small mark on the sample typically within machining roughness. It is not a big arc like a welder uses. The laser is only a few microns across.
