YOUR Fujifilm X-T5 Questions Answered!

I've been getting a ton of questions about the Fuji XT5 and the Fujifilm XH2 lately, so I thought I'd make a video covering the most common ones! Feel free to leave more comments below with additional questions and I'll make a follow up Q&A, but overall, these both are awesome cameras and you can't go wrong with either!

The newest lenses f/1.4, f/1.2 from Fuji are sharp AF - yup. Better AF performance too. The images are so sharp on the XT3 I feel no pressure to upgrade the body at the moment. The lens I most WANT to work better is the 18-55. That lens is capable of extremely sharp and pretty images-when it gets the focus right. Shooting humans indoors it’s just miss, miss, miss. Drives me nuts. The new 23 f/1.4 LM wr more often than not just nails it, so I can worry about getting the lighting right.

I agree with everything you said 100%. It's easier to switch back and forth between stills and video with the XH2. It's easier to shoot just stills with the XT5, like you said. I use the XH2 for video and some stills, and I use the XT5 for stills and some B roll. It's a great combination of cameras. If I had to choose just one, I probably couldn't. They're both just so good. 🙂

I would say driving the pre-set controls on the X-T5 is easier than the PASM dial on the X-H2 (I have used both). Furthermore you get 7 presets for photography and 7 presents for videography, so 14 in total as opposed to 7 in total on the X-H2.

You have to try new sigma lenses for Fuji x mount(16,30,55 f1.4).they much better over Fuji lens even last ones.they much sharper and against sun they produce more details .you can find video about this on KZbin.before I think Fuji have best lenses until I purchased sigmas ones .they very good build and light.and there good ultrasonic motor inside .so very recommend even for try

I can 💯 relate to full frame I never used 50mm but this Fuji 33mm1.4 is definitely one of my most used!! On your 50mmf1.0 part you mite look into sigma 56mm1.4 I absolutely love mine it’s small and light smaller than the Fuji 33mm

How is the buffer on the xt-5 (Raw)? have you tested it out?

Excellent QA session. My question is a bit more about firmware. I am struggling to be able to assign Photometry, Face/Eye detect and Subject detect to my fn buttons. If I assign all 3 or Photometry and just 1 of the detection modes, none to them work when I press the relevant fn button. I have to just use Photometry (I use this more) and disable the Face/Eye/Subject detect to be able to use the Photometry assigned fn button. Even then, the others have to be disabled in the menu!! If you can't assign these together, why is the choice not greyed out when you have the Photometry assigned? Surely this is a firmware issue? Photometry is exposure whilst the other two are focus. Defeats the object of being able to quickly select another mode using the fn buttons....Have I missed something or is this what is happening as the norm?

What do you think about the flash. I did a event and I had canon R6 with Godox flash and it looks warm and nice. The Fujifilm same settings as the canon looked dark and cold.
