Did they show the acoustic results from the new version that doesn't use gears? The sound would be louder with a larger load.

Ask them if there is an airconditioner if you ever get another chance.

I have noticed something awkward watching this interview and the interview with the Archer guy that they stare at your camera while you are talking to them/asking them questions, instead of looking at you. Is that something they are doing on their own or are you directing them to do that? My apologies for the criticism but thought you might like to know it is awkward to see on my end. Otherwise great discussion and cant wait for these products to hit the air in a year or two.

We didn't give direction about where they should look.

The regulatory landscape in US makes this a non starter.

Joby has completed the 3rd stage of the FAA certification process, is partnered with the USAF, and is producing craft at its facility in Marina, California. It certainly seems, at least, like they have confidence in their future in the US.

@BatteriesIncludedPodcast the third stage is paperwork and doesn't need a craft at all. The airforce will buy and test them under the agility prime program like thet did with others. I don't know if that's partnering. They shouldn't make very many before they have a certificated craft.
