What kind of lighting did you use to hit balls at night outside? Really like the Rukket products and appreciate the information you shared on your video. Very well done!

With those 3 small mats with different grass lengths, I pull my big mat off further to the side so the edge is just left of center, then set the small one centered. So I'm standing on the big mat, but hitting balls from the small ones at roughly the same level.

That target goes behind the net for longevity and also to reduce noise at ball impact.

I had the same issue you describe about hitting more to the left because of my mat placement. Problem is that I have an issue with ceiling clearance that does not allow me to push the mat to the left to align with the center of the net. My question for you is if I could angle/tilt the mat so that I would be aiming more at the center target. Would that be better and not affect my swing? I also use skytrak and wonder if angling the mat and skytrak has any adverse affects on the reading

Those windows to the upper right would've been destroyed by my swing already with that setup.

haha, we should fix that!

When I first started golfing I bought a net and hit balls into it so I could get better, I learned to hit it hard with the center of the face so it felt great. Then I went to the course with my awesome swing and proceeded to flush my irons...into a high slice. I had learned how to flush the irons with an outside in open face swing. Never used the net again.

Has damaged many good swings unfortunately, but they can also be of great service.

This is why you incorporate them with a launch monitor with spin axis to know where your ball goes.

if beating balls on the range is a waste of time...then beating balls into a net is a (waste of time)^2 I find 10-15 mins of practice with a video camera is the absolute max i can do in a single session into a net

In my early teaching days I taught many things that were not quite correct or were feelings players had but not what actually happens because I was copying other teachers ideas and hadn’t formulated my own. Keep the lead foot planted is a big one. I taught terrible chipping techniques but I’m always learning.

Instead of hard plastic alignment sticks, it probably would be better & less damaging for most amateur golfers to use Tee Claws or something similar. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKSakqCBfqdsmbc
