Dr. Robert Biswas-Diener is a positive psychologist, author and instructor at Portland State University. He is widely known as the "Indiana Jones of Positive Psychology" because his research on happiness has taken him to such far-flung places as Greenland, India, Kenya and Israel. Biswas-Diener's research focuses on income and happiness, culture and happiness, and positive psychology.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

What a refreshingly creative take on happiness and how positive reminiscence can ignite the fires of your NOW just as much as they have done in the past. Very thought-provoking. I smile and think of my mom who passes away just before Positive Psychology's Chris Peterson did. She was the best person I have ever known. Authentic, humble and true. We traveled the world together. She continues to enrich my life.

Loved this! We should teach children how to savor memories when they're young -- what a great skill it would be for their whole lives.
