For context, i am against using id for this but i wonder where was the outrage BEFORE they went to the hub?

@@breannathompson9094 No? I've been outraged perpetually since I became self-aware, and understood the implications of the PATRIOT act and much of the legislation passed before my time. Because they are responsibly using the resources already provided, they just need more! Clearly. It has worked so well these past few decades. A veritable golden age. I don't know if you've noticed, but people have been dissenting for quite a while about the ID checks and requirements online. Maybe you have ignored it, or not been in those spaces. Remember Snowdin? Assange? Any names ring the bell? Data privacy? EULA controversies? NSA facilities for monitoring Americans? Or, maybe you misconstrue the lack of agency we have in our own government with a lack of outrage, and that's fine if you did. The people in positions of authority are sociopaths with a clear goal in mind, who tactfully use the government's gridlock, binary choices, and situational lack of oversight to cushion themselves from public opinion. They are results-driven, and they cannot be reasoned with. Don't even bother trying. Unfortunately, the government does what the government very well pleases, your voice is worthless honestly. They arent interested in sex, drugs, or anything else because theyre all too addicted to their devices. Its literally swapping 1 problem for another. Gen Alpha is chronically online and dont know how to have meaningful relationships. At least when I was experimenting with drugs, I was having a great time, being social, making new friends, getting out of the house & going to parties 😂 you know, REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES. Websites don't need to take care of children, their parents need to. Like, there already is tools like parental controls in websites, browsers (and extensions), and even apps for phones with which you can limit app usage, screen time and more. That, and teaching your kids basic online safety should be the only thing needed for them to be safe on the internet. My biggest problem with all this prove your age crap is that it requires an individual to submit some sort of official government ID to a server and who’s to say that server is truly safe. Let’s face it, everyone says they have a secure server until it gets hacked and once again a persons private information has been stolen by a hacker because these servers require our private information for us to prove ourselves.

About the pfp: I like to offer the source of stuff I use as PFP when possible, it's easy and it's free so why don't do it? About the sub: I just don't upload stuff neither I'm interested on doing YT, that's why I ask to not subscribe

“The hub” is already restricted where I am.. I downloaded a free vpn.. problem solved.. (I’m 18 so it’s legal..) I’m not giving my ID. social media is a bigger threat to kids than adult content. Metas platforms are easy to access as a kid. When I was underage I just knew to lie about my age when they ask- And I’ve experienced more harassment and was groomed via meta platforms than anywhere else online when I was underage. This act is actually dog water. It’s not about “child safety” it’s about controlling underage children’s views.. let parents choose.

The best way to explain how terrifying this is is to think of it like a parental control app. They are super easy to get through as a child. If you can get through that as a kid you can get through what's being put here.
