An interesting one to do would be hyenas. They have a very complex social structure, which basically boils down to the more friends you have, the higher you rank. Also, contrary to popular belief, males don't get inherently dominated by females. @geoffzuo98318 ай бұрын
@@Liam-lx8xb Yeah he's definitely salty. Problem is though, he's right. Gustave was found eating a small hippo, likely either a female or a young male. Given the fact that the highest size estimates for Gustave put him at about 6 meters and close to 1000 kg, an adult cow would outweigh him by 50%, and have a much deeper and wider skull of roughly the same length, not to mention the giant tusks. Let's not even bring up the bulls, which can be more than double the size of the very largest niles and salties, and could comfortably fit a large croc's skull in their jaws to crush. The Gustave-killing-hippo thing seems to be semi-valid, but only in a couple circumstances involving adolescents that would have been smaller than him, so in no way applicable to a fair adult vs. adult match. In general, nile crocodiles turning the tables on hippos seems to be a freak occurrence, and evidence of a croc taking down an adult hippo that isn't starving is basically nonexistent.

There is quite a lot of misinformation here so I will address a few: Cubans average larger than 7 ft if you consider asymptotic growth (the time crocs growth actually slows down). Also all crocodilians are territorial when they reach asymptotic size, even Nile crocodiles, I have observed them engaging in territorial conflict frequently in the wild, generally it’s only smaller individuals that form large groups together and adults at even just 13 ft are not messed with hippos. I have observed hippos actively avoiding crocodiles in the 12-14 ft range and nesting females which are extremely territorial and can even send off a large hippo that gets to close. The dominance hippos have over crocs is very exaggerated in media and it’s nothing like what people say, there is also instances of 12 ft crocodiles attacking adult female hippos head on and forcing them to back down.
