Cky had a lot of its own originality too. And they were both happening around the same time. But I'm gonna go ahead and say it, Tom green was the first to break it into the mainstream. He independently created a genre that is still being used today more the ever.... Tom green was "podcasting" from home before anyone with his home show.... He pioneered this entire genre and we all owe him eternal debt for the risks and trail blazing he has done. Way ahead of the times

You know I always had the same opinion except that I saw a vice episode on bam. He was basically filming himself skating and doing goofy things since he was a little kid. They show the videos to people and they got better reactions to the skits or goofy stuff. So bam leaned into that way more. I don't think he completely ripped off Tom like I always assumed. Maybe took some notes off Tom Green's mtv show but he was already doing that stuff in his little Indy videos before Tom got famous in America. It's probably just parallel thinking

The sharding debate depends completely on how many players are allowed on each server at launch. If it is 2500 to 3000, then sure there is no need for sharding. However, if the server size is going to be similar to nost then sharding/dynamic respawns will be temporarily necessary because grouping up matters not when there is 10000 people in the starting zones.
