Snoke is Alderaan. The planet gained sentience after being blown up, and blamed the Jedi (Obiwan) for not getting the Death Star plans to the Rebels in time. That's why he made Starkiller Base too. As an act of irony, the failure of the Republic caused Alderaan's demise, and so Alderaan became the demise of the New Republic. It's also why he wanted to turn Kylo evil, to kill Han Solo to hurt Leia, because Han did not fly fast enough to Alderaan, and Leia did not try hard enough to stop Alderaan being blown up.

I really hope SJN realize what a treasure they have in Jenny. There will be many people who really dont get her style of humor but she is fantastic and that uncomfortable feeling she causes in others is a true gift since it isnt malicious - its just very deadpan and awesome. I feel like at one point in either episode 8 or 9, Hux or Kylo Ren will ask Snoke, "No, but, like, dude, who are you?" and then Snoke will just stare into the camera for a while and then Kylo Ren will look back at the camera as well and be like, "Oh, I completely forgot about the documentary crew here to film us." and then we find out that Star Wars actually happened and was the first documentary ever made and then we also find out that Snoke is just Snoke.
