I had to walk away from a man who smokes weed. One of many dealbreakers . I have learned .

Hit the nail on the head with the smoking example! It’s a dealbreaker for me too and I literally just had to let a man who adores me go because of his addiction

What about hes willingness to work on himself to change? Was he willing?
@Love_Lacie4 ай бұрын
@@Audrey-r1q Of course not. He’s 49 and has made it apart of his identity since 13. He said his goal was to make me fall in love with him so that I wouldn’t care what he does 😂 I am ok with things in moderation but not an addiction.

In my 20s smoking weed was quite popular. A guy that I was trying to impress had asked me out and I was excited. He asked me if I smoke weed and because I wanted to impress him I said yes. He then says I'm sorry I can't date you because I'm applying to be in the police academy and I don't want anyone around me that could hinder my success. Then I tried to backtrack and say that I was lying but he did not believe me. That was quite impressionable because he knew his standard. Argh 2 years later I saw him and asked him was he on the police force and he said no and he told me that he was dismissed because he started doing cocaine with a woman who he shifted his standard for because she was prettier. Karma can be a biatch.

I also have spiritual standards too and i also want the kind of men with the spiritual standards you listed, but i realized that men with such qualities are very scarce, even in church 😂
@ayanime_edem8 ай бұрын
There you go with the scarcity mindset… what makes you think you can’t find such a man even if he’s not a staunch churchgoer because there’s a difference between being a church member and having an intimate relationship with God.

I met a guy recently that i really liked and i noticed he hardly speaks good English i mean he's not a degree holder but for his profession its not necessary he's pretty okk but to be honest he's speech and leadership skills as a man i would want a life with is questionable to me and after giving him quite a good length of time to know each other better i have seen that he's a good guy but can't be an effective spiritual and moral leader for me and anything that comes in the future its sad i had to let him go but its better this way for me

Thanks Ayanime. I've had to say no several times to men with certain standards different from mine because it didn't resonate with me and accepting means selling myself short. It's difficult to say no sometimes, not gonna lie. But when I look back after a long time, I'm grateful that I said no. Thanks for always

I fail tests and games. I feel it's so unnecessary... especially when we're all adults. Now that I'm healed, when folks test me, they never get the results they want, but they do get placed on the back burner or ghosted. If we're trying to connect and get to know one another, why test me or play games? I don't get it.
