Made a lot of good points Shrink. We each have our own journey, but in my world when it comes to enjoying the music, it's something I engage in when I have some spare time to sit down and escape. But when you turn into a hobby, it becomes something else. I mean don't get me wrong, assembling the equipment and tweaking things a bit as you go along is fun and to be expected and reasonable. But, when you just dwell on this stuff, there's something else going on. We just have to work on finding balance and happiness within ourselves(not easy sometimes), and with that, the peripheral shit usually falls into place where it should be. Thanks again Shrink, appreciate ya brother......rock on!

Yes it’s a hobby, a pastime, a way to relax and escape the madness in the world. That’s why it’s important to enjoy the journey. It’s not a destination or a race for supremacy. Enjoy whatever system and setup you have. I love listening on my top of the line system, or on the road or out and about on a Bluetooth speaker. The quality of the equipment varies but the love of music stays the same. as Hans says, enjoy the music.

you bet! well said! but sometimes for some its much easier said than done.

The main thing that i fundamentally strive for in a system is coherency and transparency. The more coherent the sound and the less obvious the system's sound signature is,the more i'm able to forget about it and focus more on the music,recording permitting of course.I do also feel that there can be something to keeping an upgraded version of the same product. Improved power supplies for example will change nothing about the sound you love in terms of balance,or whatever, but will simply bring about a supercharged version of something you already know well and have established a fondness towards. With complete changes,there can be a greater risk of upsetting the apple cart.

Everbody wears Shirts!!! I've told my story about ending up with 4 liste5 areas in the house.... The better story how I learned to make my $600 system sound equal to the $50,000 system Knowledge can make a Supreme System!!! Beyond Aesthetics but I say it again tou definitely have a Beautiful Set-up

I do not know where you got thinking I value aesthetic over sound it seems that is what you are saying.🤷You can correct if I am wrong.Both aesthetics and sound go hand in hand for me .My system has superb sonic and musical engagement and Sound is number 1 but they also have to look beautiful as there art to me.So you have compared a well put together 50k system to a 600 system in your own main room?! why own a 50k system if your $600 one exceeds it? Come on man thats a bit exaggerated to say the least!Their are amazing systems at all price points and experience trumps money but thats not to say experience cant build superb costly systems because they sure can.Enjoy what we have

May times people make the mistake of expecting all recordings to sound great
@greatlookinglandscapАй бұрын
Ya as I say people will chase perfection which is when they have this disease which is completely isane until u surrender it will be rinse and repeat.Just when you change it and think you “got it”the brain ruins it all.Recording is what it is and system or room can change that.But I feel the main problem lies in the brain
